Silver is stage manager for the play. Dixon gets roped into doing the lights. Ty and Annie have to pretend to have sex. Adrianna is M.I.A., Naomi’s parents put the “fun” in dysfunctional and Brenda said “ass”. Just another day in the Zip.

Noami’s mom is bed-ridden due to the devastating news that her hubby moved his mistress into the beach house. Apparently he’s now completely out of the picture. Until he shows up again and in the middle of a fight starts hooking up with Naomi’s mom again. What do they call it if you cheat or your mistress with your wife?

Despite the sexcapade the Clark ‘Rents are divorcing and Naomi is confused…. Awe.
Principal Harry catches Annie and Ty hot and heavy in the school theatre and he looks like Mr. Roper would have if he’d seen Jack Tripper kissing Janet. Debbie says it’s her job to have the birds and bees chat with Annie. Somehow the whole Annie sex talk has made Harry think of his missing son, the one Naomi’s mom put up for adoption.

When Adrianna finally shows up for the school play rehearsal she has a full on meltdown. And looks like a crackwhore. Brenda tries very hard to give her a pep talk but fails to ask “hey, what’s with the crack face?” She does mention Adrianna’s distance and distress to Kelly and Ryan. When Adriana finally seems to be getting her act – or rather her acting – together her mom shows up and says she’s brought an army of agents & producers to watch Adrianna. So she gets high – and by high I mean obliterated. Annie gets the lead.

Naomi brags about how Ethan and Naomi didn’t wait to have sex, and Silver calls her a “Ho-Bot”. You can tell it totally bothers Annie that Naomi and Ethan are back together even if she is playing tonsil hockey with Ty Collins. Oh and Ty happens to have booked him and Annie a room at The Roosevelt hotel –their own private cast party at the cast party. Seriously? That’s what happens nowadays? You go from a few kisses to hotel rooms in 0 to 60?! Thank God I’m old.

So when the show is over, Annie asks Dixon for the condom he’s had in his wallet for the last 4 years (maybe someone should have paid more attention when their mom gave the sex talk…. A 4 year old condom is not considered a good contraceptive). Annie runs into Ethan, literally, and he sees the condom. Ethan has the nerve to lecture Annie about waiting to have sex with someone she loves, not Ty Collins. Annie’s all like “Hello, that was you.”

Dixon and Silver flirt on an Olympic level until she finally kisses him. When Dixon panics about not having his trusty 4 year old condom, Silver makes it clear they are taking it slow.

In order to get revenge on Annie for snagging the lead (it’s Annie’s fault, not the cocaine’s of course) so Adrianna makes her way to Ty’s hotel room and tells him Annie left the play with Ethan. When Annie shows up at the hotel Adrianna is wearing nothing but a towel claiming that Ty is in the shower. Annie falls for it hook line and naive sinker. No idea where Ty is but it’s not the shower. Annie melts down and announces that the West Beverly Hills High lifestyle is not for her. It ends with her crying alone in her room.

I give this episode a solid C+. Yes, it’s getting slightly better. Thankfully, because it just got picked up for the rest of the season.

So does anybody have their own two cents on this episode or the show in general? Hit me up in the comments!
