Before I get started-let me apologize to all you readers out there for not having a review last week. Things have been crazy for my family and I was unable to get one out, but don’t worry-the Gilmore reviews will still come out!

“Teach Me Tonight” happens to be one of my favorite episodes of Gilmore Girls for a few reasons. First, it gives a chance for Rory and Jess to get closer, and second, it provides yet another WONDERFUL fight between Luke and Lorelai. I love fights with Luke and Lorelai, they always add so much to the show.

To give you the low-down; Jess is flunking out of school. Yes, he’s smarter than almost everyone there, but he just isn’t applying himself. Luke therefore asks Rory to tutor him. She agrees, and everything is going horribly. Jess isn’t listening, he doesn’t care at all, and he is making things very difficult for Rory. They then decide to go out for ice cream in the car that Dean built for Rory. Jess drove, and they decide to just cruise around instead of heading back to the diner. The next thing we know, Rory is calling Lorelai from the hospital with a broken arm. Jess was nowhere to be found.

This causes Lorelai to go into a fit of rage. She runs over to Luke’s looking for Jess, but instead, finds Luke. She takes her anger out on him blaming him for the whole accident because Luke “pushed Jess onto Rory.” The fight ends with a very powerful “GO TO HELL!” and I love it! Don’t get me wrong, I love it more when they are together and happy, but the fights are so passionate because of how much they obviously love each other! Luke finally finds Jess smoking on the bridge and he explains that he made sure everything was all right before he left.

To top things off, as Lorelai fights with Luke, she makes up with none other than Christopher. He comes in the middle of the night and decides to be there for Rory and Lorelai. There’s a heartfelt apology from both ends from the last fight they had and things seem to be looking up at that point.

The episode ends with the movie in the square, with a special treat in the beginning. A Film by Kirk. The film is unexplainable, so the only way to truly do it justice is to provide a link for it on YouTube…go watch it, you won’t be disappointed. http://youtube.com/watch?v=C6lwb5v4q_Y. During the premier of the film, we find out that Luke sent Jess back to his mother. And that is where the episode ends.

So, that’s the end of another early episode review. Please join me next week when I review “The Big One,” near the end of the third season. I would also love your feedback on which episode you want me to review, because I have some favorites, but I would love to review your favorites as well. E-mail me anytime at Faye@thetwocentscorp.com. Let me know what you think. Put your TwoCents in the comments! Have a wonderful beginning of the summer.
