At work, George mentors a new Happy Time employee, Fiona, who surpasses George in not caring at all about the job at hand. It irritates George until she realizes that she inspired someone else to not care. I think Fiona is really annoying and I was as frustrated with her as George was.
Meanwhile, George leaves Reggie a box hanging from the toilet tree and inside, she’s placed a bunch of different magazine clippings. One picture is of a girl riding a horse and another is a photo of a drum set. Reggie decides she wants to try riding a horse, which she doesn’t like and results in another awkward moment where Joy tries really hard and Reggie shuts her down.
All of the reapers have a group appointment – a wedding. George’s Post-It reads Ronnie’s name and Mason and Daisy have the bride and the groom. Ronnie crashes the wedding, kisses George and then causes a major scene when he sees a graveling. Rube kicks both George and Ronnie out and they end up in the upper balcony. George knows what she has to do and pops Ronnie’s soul, right before a graveling lunges at him and he falls off the balcony, onto the bride and the groom.
Favorite moments:
+ Mason bringing George sleeping pills to knock out Ronnie, who is an insomniac. He’s got the best look on his face as he realizes the pills aren’t for George and that she’s got someone over.
+ George tries to make up for crumpling up the “You are loved” note her mother left under her pillow when she was younger through Reggie. Reggie gets her drum set and leaves George a thank you note. George then writes “I love you” on the note, sneaks into their house and leaves it under Joy’s pillow. Joy cries and it’s truly a touching moment.
So, what were your thoughts on this episode? It’s yet another episode without Roxy and that bums me out. It’s just not exactly right without her. It’s like Daisy is too overbearing without Roxy around. Have no fear! Roxy is very much in the next episode I’m reviewing, Business Unfinished. We get to learn a lot more about her and it’s about time if you ask me.
