Has anyone ever been to Mexico? What about twice in the same day? Did you ever leave some there you shouldn’t have? Did you ever go in search of a family member who has escaped police custody? You have! You’re just as crazy as the Bluth family in their second season.

Welcome to season 2 where the antics of the Bluth family have taken a step in the wrong direction. Gob is now president of the Bluth Company and Michael isn’t too pleased. But, wanting to set aside differences Michael tells Gob he wants to spend more time with his son George-Michael by taking him to Legoland. Given that G-M is about 16, I think Michael’s missed the mark. Lucille enters the office and tells her sons that she’s hired Gene Parmesan, a world renowned P.I., to find George Sr. who since season 1 has fled custody. Gene tells the family a man fitting George’s description was seen in Mexico. Michael decides it’s his duty to find his father. Michael asks G-M if he wants to come along. G-M says no wanting to spend more time with his new girlfriend Ann. Michael is un-cool with the fact G-M has a girlfriend that’s so incredibly dull, but wants G-M to invite her along.

Michael needs a second driver to Mexico, so he initially asks his brother-in-law Tobias who can’t do it. Why you ask? Well Tobias is on standby for the Blue Man Group. He then asks Lindsay who agrees.

At Lucille’s apartment, she throws a party for her son Buster, who’s not happy AT ALL because of the affair she’s having with George’s twin brother Oscar. Wanting to escape his mother once and for all he decides to stow away in Michael’s car in order to lead a new life in Mexico. Buster gets into the trunk of Michael’s car, looses his glasses, and in moments falls asleep. But, what Buster doesn’t realize is, before going to Mexico, Michael drops off his mother’s housekeeper (Lupe) at her home 10 minutes away. Buster, wakes up, sans glasses, takes this new place to be Mexico and decides to stay with Lupe’s family.

In the meantime, Gob feeling like no one loves him goes to Lucille to see if she likes him. She doesn’t. Lucille becomes wary of his actions. She even goes as far to have Gene follow her son.

The Mexico team reaches their destination. They ask around to see if anyone has seen George. They find the stair-car, but no George. G-M asks Michael if he wouldn’t mind riding back with Ann so they can get to know each other. Michael uncomfortable with the arrangement says yes. A misunderstanding occurs with Maeby and she ends up riding back with Michael, while G-M ends up riding back with Lindsay.

Here’s a math riddle for you: So, if G-M and Lindsay ride back together and Michael and Maeby ride back together, where does that leave Ann? Well if you answered alone in Mexico, you’re correct. Michael forgets about Bland (I mean Ann) and leaves the 16-year-old in a strange country she’s never been in.

Back in Newport, Buster is having the time of his life living with Lupe’s family. He wants to become one with the crowd. He goes to work with the men and plays with the children.

Michael and company arrive back at the model house only to realize that they’ve left Ann. G-M and Michael race back to Mexico. Gob sets off for Mexico as well, following Michael. Michael finds Ann and Gob confronts his brother about his lack of love. Gene also shows up after Lucille asked him to follow Gob. Gob confesses no one loves him, but Michael tells his brother they will always have each other’s back. Feeling bad about his brother, hires Gene to be Gob’s friend for the weekend. On the way home, Michael finally decides to get to know Ann, but within one second hates her. And in the coming episodes you will see this fact. No one can remember her name or ever meeting her. Her popular name will either be “Her?” “Egg” or “Bland.”

Buster, hard at work in “Mexico” is assigned to deliver drinks to an apartment, only to discover the apartment is his mother’s. He figures out finally that he’s not in Mexico. He catches Lucille and Oscar fooling around in the kitchen and leaves immediately. I mean would you want to see your mother messing around with ANYONE? I didn’t think so!
