WOW! What a great episode! We find out more about Wilhelmina's sister, Renee. And what is not going on with Daniel and Betty.
Betty and Hilda talk about how Betty is still talking to Gio, but Henry doesn't know about it. (remember- Henry is a bit jealous of Gio). Hilda gets her first appointment and it is with Gina Gambaro, her old neighbor. Gina comes in rubbing in Hilda's face her good fortune and news of a new husband. Just like old times.

WOW! What a great episode! We find out more about Wilhelmina's sister, Renee. And what is not going on with Daniel and Betty.
Betty and Hilda talk about how Betty is still talking to Gio, but Henry doesn't know about it. (remember- Henry is a bit jealous of Gio). Hilda gets her first appointment and it is with Gina Gambaro, her old neighbor. Gina comes in rubbing in Hilda's face her good fortune and news of a new husband. Just like old times.
Betty,is very busy with Daniel and scheduling all his appointments. Betty tells Daniel how Renee gets mad when she can't get time with Daniel. Gio tells Betty not to let her walk all over her.
Henry tells Betty that Charlie (who was to go home that day)will not be going back to Tucson because the doctor wants her to stay until she has the baby. Betty is clearly upset with the news and gets back to work, not wanting to talk to Henry anymore.
Betty finds Renee going through her schedule for Daniel and they argue. Betty tells Daniel that Renee need to go or she will.Renee tells Daniel that Betty is in love with him. He thinks she is a bit crazy, but starts to wonder if it is true. He even has a dream of Betty making advances on him.
Christina and Betty start snooping to see what they can find out about Renee and Wilhelmina. Willie starts pushing Renee's buttons so she will start going crazy like in her past.
Daniel talks to Amanda. Amanda tells him about the drama going on with Betty, Henry and baby-mama. Then she mentions about how Gio has a crush on Betty. Henry overhears the Gio part. Henry then goes to Gio's deli and tells him to stay away from Betty. Gio takes it as a threat and asks Henry to fight. Gio makes a motion to swing at Henry , but Henry hit Gio first. Gio , surprised by Henry's good hit stumbles back. Henry apologizes and tells Gio that he is afraid of losing Betty. He is trying to be a good father and scared of losing Betty. Gio tells him he should not be telling him, but seeing Betty. I just got a little more respect for Gio in that moment.
Christina and Betty go through Willies files at home and learn more about Renee. Renee had an affair with a professor Larson. Then was hospitalized for 6 years for being a jealous pyromaniac.
Christian Sirano (Project Runway winner) shows up at Mode to show off some designs, when Renee shows up causing a huge scene. She accused Daniel of having affairs with the models. Daniel calls Wilhelmina and the visit the doctor. The doctor says Renee finds a "gatekeeper", someone she thinks is keeping her from her lover, to focus on and blame. Daniel realizes it is Betty. The doctor also reveals that Renee was in love with professor Larson and thought his secretary was in love w/him, so she set a fire to get the secretary but got Larson instead.
Betty heads over to Daniel's to warn him but finds Renee waiting. As they talk, they realize some things in common. Renee is jealous of how much time he spends with Betty late at nite. Betty says she has been working late so she won't have to tell Henry about Gio. Renee says she is jealous of Betty. Betty says she understood, because she is actually jealous of Charlie (pregnant w/Henry's child). Renee grabs a knife and then a fire breaks out Betty tells Renee that Daniel loves her and Betty doesn't like Daniel that way. Daniel and Willie and Marc show up and break the door down to see Betty using a fire extinguisher. They take Renee away. Still, nobody knows that Marc and Willie switched the meds on Renee.
Next morning Betty tells her family she is ok and understood Renee. Hilda says she feels bad for making fun of Gina, but she was a bit jealous of Gina finding someone and wished she had that.
Betty and Daniel talk and she tells him he will be ok. Daniel says he knows she has a crush on him. Betty makes fun of him , then tells him she loves him but not that way, then points to Henry and says she loves him.
Betty goes to Henry and says she knows about Henry hitting Gio and she is sorry for not telling him she is friends w/Gio.She doesn't want him jealous. Henry says she can be friends with whoever she wants, and he is just glad she is ok.
Well...I thought this was a very good episode. I can see how the writers are trying to get all of what they wanted to cover this year, all in the last 5 episodes. What did you think! Give me your two cent in the comments!
Next week: Betty throws Charlie (babymama) a shower. Everyone finds out who's baby Christina is carrying.
Oooooh sooo much drama!
Such a great episode - but I just want to know if Willie is going to be found out and held accountable for taking Renee's drugs and making her go crazy. It brought Willie to a whole new level of evil.

ReplyDeleteNice recap, but I really missed the Marc-humor. There wasn't too much of it in this episode. But I did like the line Betty said about Ryan Secrest when she was with Christina.
