Hey, it worked for Britney...Lindsay Lohan (“Mean Girls,” “Bobby”) will join the cast of ABC’s hit comedy “Ugly Betty,” appearing in the upcoming Season Finale and in five episodes next season. Viewers will first see Lohan’s character in the Season Finale episode airing THURSDAY, MAY 22 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET). She’ll play a mean girl from high school who suddenly resurfaces in Betty’s life. She’ll continue on the show when the series makes its third Season Premiere next fall.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. Betty is such a good show and is doing so well - why do they feel they need to bring in "celebrities" for ratings? Certainly what they paid the guy from Project Runway wasn't worth his 1 minute and 2 lines. He sure didn't add anything to the show for me. Let's at least hope LiLo can keep it together long enough to fulfill her commitment.
ReplyDeleteI agree totally!! U/B doesn't need to have these celebrities come in, especially ones that need to clean up their act first. And I definately don't think 6 or 8 episdes with her are needed either! They did this with Brittany on "how I met your mother" and I thought she was awful! Let U/B just run with the great cast that they have, there is tons of talent there.
ReplyDeleteI am not an Ugly Betty viewer, I usually work until 9:00 on Thursdays. I am a How I Met Your Mother fan, and Brittany did not bring anything to the show. The cast, crew and writers are awesome, they and probably UB do not need extra stars. In fact Lindsay and Brittany are no longer stars, they are has beens who are trying to come back. WELL FIND YOUR OWN COMEBACK SHOW without joining an already existing good show. If anything I think the audience will be negative to these girls instead of the other. KB has the same sense of values and humor that I do, if I can I would like to start watching UB for anything just because KB loves it.
