Sheldon's hot twin sister is in town, and the boys are more excited than Nikola Tesla on the Enterprise. (Ok, fine, I had to do some Googling for that joke.)

Missy Cooper (Courtney Henggeler, with a now-you-hear-it-now-you-don't Texas accent) comes to visit her fraternal twin "Shelly", as she calls him, while in town for a wedding. Leonard, Rajesh, and "BAM!" Howard immediately start tripping over each other to hit on her. In Raj's case, it takes some help in the form of an experimental medication for pathological shyness, the show's running gag for the night. Kunal Nayyar (Raj) was finally given a chance to shine in this episode: Raj was hilariously overconfident even as he sporadically lapsed into involuntary repetitive motions as a side-effect of the meds. He absolutely stole the episode - not an easy feat.

Leonard approaches Sheldon and tells him that, as the man of his family now, he is responsible for screening who his sister dates. Sheldon takes this seriously, realizing that his sister's genes hold the potential of another genius just like him, and he needs to monitor her choice of reproductive partner. While Leonard assumes this means he will be Sheldon's choice, it doesn't. None of the guys are good enough, in fact. However, when this plan is discussed with Missy, Sheldon gets a whack to the nuts and wisely decides to stay out of her sex life.

Missy, in the meantime, has sought refuge in Penny's apartment. One by one, the boys come over to ask her out. Leonard and Howard are both rejected. When Raj goes over, Missy is happy to see him, and waits for her invitation... and is met with high-pitched squeaking. Raj's medication has worn off! *heart breaks*

    Best Lines:
Missy: I had to go through the entire second grade with crooked eyebrows my mom drew on.
Sheldon: Is that what that was? I just assumed that the second grade curriculum had rendered you quizzical.

Raj: Have you ever heard of the Kama Sutra?
    Missy: The sex book.
Raj: The Indian sex book. In other words, if you wonder, wonder who wrote the book of love - it was us.

Raj: Missy, do you enjoy pajamas?
    Missy: I guess.
Raj: We Indians invented them. You're welcome.
Howard: Yeah, well, my people invented circumcision. *You're welcome.*

Raj: Everybody knows genetic diversity produces the strongest offspring. Why not put a little mocha in the family latte?

Missy: I'm always bragging to my friends about my brother the rocket scientist?
Sheldon: You tell people I'm a rocket scientist? ...I'm a theoretical physicist.
    Missy: Well, what's the difference?
Sheldon: What's the difference!?... My god! Why don't you just tell them that I'm a toll-taker at the Golden Gate Bridge! A rocket scientist, how humiliating!

So what did YOU think of the episode? Did you like Sheldon's sister? Feel sorry for Raj? Leave your Two Cents in the comments.

  2. The more I watch this show the more I love it!

Raj was so cute. I hate that he struck out with Missy.

Also, I love Sheldon. If I were smart, I would BE Sheldon. I don't know if that's a scary idea or not...

It was a really good episode and you're right, Raj was the MAN!
