Well, it sure has been a long season 2 for all you Betty-fans. The writers strike has done a real number on us tv-watchers. So I feel the best thing to do is just start from the beginning and try to go over what has happened so far this season, sound good?
First, let's start with the Meade family; Claire admitted to killing Faye Sommers and was sent to prison, but broke out with fellow in-mate, Yoga. She was later proven innocent,( thanks to Betty) by reason of insanity due to the perfume that Faye tainted.

Well, it sure has been a long season 2 for all you Betty-fans. The writers strike has done a real number on us tv-watchers. So I feel the best thing to do is just start from the beginning and try to go over what has happened so far this season, sound good?
First, let's start with the Meade family; Claire admitted to killing Faye Sommers and was sent to prison, but broke out with fellow in-mate, Yoga. She was later proven innocent,( thanks to Betty) by reason of insanity due to the perfume that Faye tainted.
Bradford who was fallen under the spell of Wilhelmina, asked her to marry him. Then, as the wedding was under way, Betty tells Daniel that Willy is cheating on his father. Daniel tells his father, just before the "I do's" and Bradford has a heart attack on the alter. He is rushed to the hospital and then dies. Sneaky Wilhelmina, pays the morgue-guy to withdraw some sperm and save it. Good gawd....will this woman stop at nothing? So now that Mr. Meade is dead, and Claire is free, the Meade family take over Mode and fire Wilhelmina (but not before Willy ruins all the files and takes 1/2 the staff).
Alexis finally starts to get along with Daniel and they work together to try and get Mode back to the way it was.
Wilhelmina and Marc: Willy and Marc try start a new magazine called "Slater", which doesn't happen because Willys father won't back her. Willy finds out she has a "hostile womb" and cannot carry a baby. So she finds out that Christina needs money for a experimental treatment for her husband. So she offers Christina $100,000.00 if she will be a surrogate to Willy and a "anonymous" donor sperm. Christina, finally agrees to carry the baby, without knowing its Bradford's. Now I must say...I really miss Marc being at the Meade building. I loved watching him and Amanda together. The one thing I could not ever understand is how he got in the building as often as he did, once he left to go with Wilhelmina. Later, Willys sister Renee shows up.
Henry and Betty: Henry came back from Tucson to work because he needed the insurance.(yea, right....he loves Betty and misses her, if you ask me) Henry finds out that his ex cheated on him with Betty's orthodontist and asks her to take a paternity test. He finds out the baby is his but Betty still decides to see Henry even though she will get her heart broken in 5 months when he has to leave. Everything is going great for the golden couple, until Gio (sandwich-boy) comes into the picture. Gio has added a little drama to the whole Benry situation. Which has now spawned off a whole lot of Benry and Getty shippers. Which now has people asking : should Betty be with Henry or Gio?
Amanda: Amanda finds out that Faye is her mother but doesn't know who the father is. After some clues, she finds out the chances are good that it is Gene Simmons of Kiss. Amanda and Marc write a song and sing it at the local bar, where Gene Simmons happens to show up. Gene tells her that he is her father and they catch up on each others lives.
Which now brings us up to current events. So when Ugly Betty resumes on April 24 (which can't come soon enough) the story picks up with 2 main story lines going on. Henry's time is running out, the baby is due and what will happen? According to the writers, his ex , Charlie, comes onto the scene and guess what's gonna "hit the fan"? Now, I want Henry to stay, and only have to say that the writers better come up with way to keep Henry or I will scream! Wilhelminas sister, Renee, causes a little friction by dating Daniel. But there is some secret about Renee that we don't know about but am very curious.

I Love Betty! I Love Henry! Double the Love = Betty + Henry!
I'm definitely ready for Betty! Good recap to remind us of all the important plot points that happened this season.
ReplyDeleteI'm especially looking forward to some great Betty/Henry interaction, Christina finding out that the father of the baby she is carrying is Bradford, and hoping for the return of Wilhemina and Marc to Meade!
