DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES FINALLY CAME BACK! Last night was the return of one of my favorite shows, and what a show it was! Yesterday took forever to get through, but when 9 PM came around, my sister and I sat down on the couch, warned our family not to make a noise, and turned on ABC. The episode opened with a bang with the flashbacks of Katherine living at Wisteria Lane years ago. When the girls came over with a basket of muffins and jam, it was such a “housewife” thing to do. She didn’t accept the muffins or jam, but instead, gave the girls an extremely rude response to their kindness.

After the credits rolled, Mary Alice did her small monologue about going to Church. Lynette then decides to go to church with her family. She had been through a lot and wanted to understand why she survived cancer and the tornado, when others didn’t. Tom wasn’t too hot on the idea; he would have rather stayed at home watching the Pistons game on TV (my home team)! After a little bit of forceful convincing, she finally convinces Tom to go to church. They decide to go with Bree and Orson to their church. The sermon was lovely, but leave it to Lynette to raise her hand and ask the reverend about his sermon. This embarrasses Bree and Orson more than anything else probably ever has. It was quite a scene! Later on however, Lynette is welcomed to the church with open arms by both the reverend and the Hodge couple, because Church is a place to ask questions.

Gabby is getting married to Carlos, and she convinces the Father of her church to conduct the ceremony. He goes with Gabby to the hospital, where Carlos tells Gabby that he is blind, but to soften the blow, he tells her that it’s only going to be for 3 months, 4 tops. She accepts, and they get married. Later on, after Edie goes to the hospital to apologize to Carlos for losing his money in the tornado, she tells Gabby a little bit of information that she had discovered. Edie tells Gabby that Carlos is not temporarily blind, but permanently blind. Gabby retaliates against Carlos by walking him into walls, tripping him with household furniture, throwing fruit at him, and cooking him dog food stew. He finally comes clean and she forgives him for not being honest at first. It does in fact look like her and Carlos will live happily ever after.

Susan’s cousin, Tim, comes to visit and do her taxes. He is introduced to Dylan and Katherine, whom he has met before. Susan believes that Tim is attracted to Dylan and she doesn’t want him to break her heart, so she tries very hard to keep them apart. She goes to visit Mike at rehab, calls Tim, hears a woman’s voices, and rushes home. She is definitely surprised to find out that Tim is in bed with Katherine, as they relight an old flame.

But that wasn’t Katherine’s only storyline this episode. Dylan found a note in the last episode, and in this one, we find out that it says, “your father was murdered” so she goes to Adam for information. Katherine begs Adam to make up a story about what truly happened, and he agreed that he would, but it would also be the last time he’d cover for her. He tells Dylan that the truth of the matter is, her mother did not kill her father. Dylan breathed a sigh of relief, but I believe that Adam is telling Dylan a lie, and I cannot wait to find out the truth.

I loved this episode, and truly believe that the wait was worth it. Next week seems too far away right now, but there is a sigh of relief on my part knowing that I only have until Sunday to see another episode, instead of having to wait another 3 months! Let me know what you thought of the episode, I’d love to hear it! Again, it was a pleasure writing for you all, and I will be back next week with the new review!
