Late Night with Conan O’Brien

January 28 thru February 1, 2008

Conan O’Brien shaved his Strike Beard. No, the writer’s strike is not over. He still supports them deeply, but felt it was time to shave it off. Conan has always been a little different and less conventional in comparison to Jay Leno and David Letterman. Although he would deny it, he has done a great job entertaining late night viewers despite being without writers. This week he took control of directing the camera shots, had racing turtles, visited with the audience in the back of the studio, handed out donuts, let a dummy of himself crowd surf, and pre-recorded comedic footage solving a bathroom problem for one of his researchers (and official Late Night blogger), Aaron Bleyaert.

Conan’s guests this week were comedian Jim Gaffigan, Chuck “The Iceman” Lidell, NBC political correspondent David Gregory, Travis Pastrana, Jeff Corwin, actor Colin Hanks, Dr. Phil, author David Borgenicht, with musical guests Joe Nichols, Kate Walsh, Matt Nathanson, and Les Savy Fav. (Friday night’s guests not yet announced)
