Original Air Date: February 6, 2008

Tonight is the final audition. All I can say is, “Thank God!” I am always excited with AI starts back up, but they could cut the audition rounds to about 2 or 3 episodes and I think we would still get the point, do you think?

We are promised tonight will give us the best and worst of AI Season 7 auditions.

First up is Luke. Luke is wearing a HUGE white t-shirt that goes down to his knees. He sings, “Faith.” Luke is horrible with a capital H!

Victor is up next and he isn’t any better than Luke. I see how this is going to start out…

We meet Amy Davis, she is 25 years old and has a sob story for us. Her mother was a single mom and blah, blah, blah…Yes Amy, we have heard it all before- can you sing? She sings, “Blue Bayou” I have never heard of that song, have you? Randy and Simon like the “possibility” of her voice and with that she moves on to Hollywood.

Tiffany is up next and she is a church girl and by church girl, I mean that she has never ever never missed a Sunday at church. She tells Simon that God gave her the voice she has. She sings, “Halleluiah” and she isn’t so much as singing as she is yelling. Simon says that she should give her voice back to God. Randy says you can’t do that.

Ryan tells us that this audition season was the season for couples to audition together. Boyfriends/ Girlfriends/ BFF’s/ Husbands/ Wives, well you get the idea…

This brings us to Cory and Colby who are twins and they share the same girlfriend. They try to explain how they have the same girlfriend, but I just get confused and in no way can I retell the story for it to make sense. But Cory and Colby sing an original hip hop song and I get more confused. One of the twins just keeps saying, “Alright here we go.” Their girlfriend is waiting for them in the hallway and tells Ryan that they should move on to the next round. They do not make it to the next round. BUT- the girlfriend is up next! Yay! AND the girlfriend has brought her puppy with her. She is going to sing, “Red High Heels” by Kelly Pickler, but wait, since the girlfriend does not have her red high heels on because the puppy chewed them; she is going to “Black High Heels!” Yay! She starts to sing and the twins, Cory and Colby are out in the hallway and tell Ryan that they lied to her by telling her that she can sing because she can’t sing but they wanted her to audition- I’m confused again. Needless to say, the girlfriend does not make to Hollywood, but the judges LOVE her puppy! Yay!

Cardin is next up and she is from Nashville, TN. I’m rooting for her because Nashville is just up the road from where I live and Cardin does not let me down. She sings “One Night Only” from Dreamgirls and makes it!

Joanne, a plus size model is next. She has sung the national anthem at Madison Square Garden and I have high hopes for her to do well. Paula thinks that she is stunning, but Simon says no. So, it’s all up to Randy who says yes.

Aleshia is up next and she sings, “Surrender” by Celine Dion. She gets louder and louder as she sings and all I can say is, “Wow! Is this girl bad!!” Simon tells her no, but Paula says that she sounds like Dolly Pardon. This makes Simon tell Aleshia to sing a Dolly song, but Aleshia does not know a Dolly song. The judges tell her to go learn one right now and to come back and audition again. Aleshia does that; she goes and learns, “Island in the Stream.” She comes back, sing it and what do you know, Simon says that Paula was right and Aleshia moves onto the Hollywood round. I suspect she will be one of the first ones cut. Really how far can you go sounding like Dolly? There is only one Dolly!

We are treated to a striper and a guy who likes to cuss while he sings.

Joshua “J-Smooth” is next. He tells us that he has a “Wow Factor!” Ummm, J-Smooth, I will be judge of that!! ANYway, Josh, err, I mean J-Smooth has BIG gums! That makes me say “Wow!” He is going to sing an original song called “Beautiful Lady.” He is singing this for Paula and for all the lady’s out there- me included, YAY! While he sings this song for me, he throws what appears to be glitter, but upon closer inspection, it’s glitter mixed with cheap gems and rose petals. The song is crazy bad! He does not make it to the next round, so much for that “Wow Factor!”

A nice young lady starts to sweep up the glitter mess J-Smooth left behind, but Simon thinks Ryan should sweep it up. The two of the go back can forth with the nice young lady caught in the middle and Simon starts to sweep, Ryan offers the nice young lady a job and I get confused AGAIN!

Next up is a whole bunch of clips of Simon not getting anybody’s name right throughout the auditions.

Our last two contestants are both contestants that tried out last season and neither one of them made it past the auditions.

First up is Chikezie. Please don’t ask me how to say his name, just use your imagination. He sings “All the woman I need” and rocks it! I like him and so do the judges, he moves on.

Danny is up next and sings “Proud Mary” and he too rocks it! I think Danny might have been my favorite for the entire night. He too moves on this season.
Next is a recap of the entire audition season thus far, the good, bad and ugly. Ryan tells us that out of 100,000+, only 165 are going to Hollywood. The first of the Hollywood round is next week!
