Gossip Girl
“A Thin Line Between Chuck and Nate”

Ohhh dear. Serena is caught shopping at a drug store for a pregnancy test. A girl snaps her with a phone and sends it to Gossip Girl. Just as Jenny is catching up on her Gossip Girl, Dan comes into the room (with father in tow, yikes). Dan and Rufus have a heart-to-heart. Dan will “always be there for Serena,” while Rufus appears not amused. Serena paces back and forth at school waiting for Dan to tell him she’s not with kid. She takes off to meet Blair. Serena pulls Blair off to the side and tells her everything will be okay. Looks as if Blair is the possible mom-to-be. Nate? Chuck? Hmm….

Nate? Chuck? Hmm….

Blair and Nate canoodle in the school courtyard. Nate asks Blair to come to his father’s rehab with him. Chuck watches them in the shady corner under the stairs (creepy!) as Blair spots him. Serena drops by Blair’s to get her to take the test. It’s not working. Blair is obviously in denial and loving it. Later, in a quiet nook at Dan’s house, the happy couple eat, but Serena seems distant. Serena confesses that the test was for Blair. Dan is kind of unhappy that Chuck doesn’t know this is all going down. Jenny eavesdrops. Serena goes to Chuck’s apartment to get him to talk to Blair. Chuck tells Serena he and Blair were “careful” and that she should be looking towards Nate. Man, Blair sure gets around.

Serena tries to talk to Blair again, but gets no response. Blair goes into the bathroom and looks hard at the pregnancy test. Soon after, Blair calls Serena to say sorry and that she isn’t pregnant. Eh. A pregnant Blair would have been a lot more fun! Chuck catches up Blair and they argue. Chuck then texts Gossip Girl to say Blair was the one that had the scare. Nice! A backstabbing Chuck…I love it!

Dan meets Serena in the park; he’s acting all squirmy. He’s trying to get up the courage to say, “I love you.” So, my thing is, they can have sex but not say they love each other first? Odd. He chickens out. Chuck’s Gossip Girl message gets sent around school and Blair knows something is up. Jenny meets up with Nate to tell him the other guy in Blair’s triangle was Chuck. Soon after, Nate slams Chuck again a cab and they get into a tiff. Chuck leaves. Blair goes to Nate to apologize. Nate isn’t having it. He tells her to leave and that he never wants to see her again. Blair is ticked off that Jenny found out about Chuck through Serena. But, we know it was all eavesdropping Jenny’s doing. Blair basically tells Serena that she’s a slut and that her rep doesn’t matter, while Blair has to maintain her rep as princess to save face.

Blair’s friends are mean too. They tell her she has been dethroned as “queen bee.” Dan finally tells Serena he loves her. Serena says, “okay” in response. A hurt Dan leaves. Blair goes to Chuck to congratulate him for ruining her relationships with everyone. He’s just as mean as her friends telling her he doesn’t want her and can’t see why anyone else would. Blair comes home defeated and asks her mom if she can take the rest of the semester in Paris.

It looks as if Jenny is moving in on Blair’s territory. She’s becoming the new Blair it seems. She even has her own lackey to take her books to the library. If only real high school had been like this! Serena goes to Dan’s house and to ask him why he loves her. Okay, many girls don’t need a reason for these words. Dan lists a lot of qualities that make him love her. It’s clichéd and not worth going into. They then proceed to make out. Serena then has to leave to see Blair. She makes her way to the private jet airport to beg Blair to stay. Serena tells her to stand up and stay strong. Blair decides to stay, which is kind of obvious since Leighton Meester is a regular cast member.
