The Smiths are out hanging the flag and Stan accidentally kills a bald eagle, which he wants Steve to send to Philadelphia Eagles Quarterback Donovan McNabb to be autographed. Greg and Terry (the Smith’s gay neighbors) are out walking their little dog and Stan invites calls them over act like he’s ok with them being a homosexual couple.

Greg and Terry want to have a baby. Well Terry does, Greg is freaked out. They’re trying to pick a surrogate to have the baby for them. Stan doesn’t believe there is such a thing as in vitro fertilzation he thinks it’s something from Star Trek. Stan is pissed about a gay couple having a baby and tries to demonstrate how unnatural it is by starting a family with the family couch. Francine and Hayley are very supportive of the couple’s decision.

Elsewhere, Roger and Steve take Klaus to the water park (where Steve almost got molested a few weeks ago) which is now closed for the season. Even though it’s closed there’s still water flowing on all the rides for some reason. Anyway, Roger and Steve throw the sleeping Klaus down the waterslide and he wakes up and freaks out. He gives a very elaborate speech about how he’s going to exact his revenge when the two least expect it.

Francine brings Greg and Terry some of the kids’ old baby clothes and they are still trying to settle on a surrogate. Terry, who’s freaked about having a baby already is finding all kinds of reasons not to pick each person – even going so far as to reject one candidate because her favorite movie is Erin Brockovich. Francine agrees to be the surrogate and carry the couple’s baby.

Francine imagines Stan reaction to finding out she’s going to be having the gay couple’s baby. First she imagines him taking a broken bottle to her throat, then he drops the bottle and goes for a chain saw, which he then drops in favor of holding a screaming jaguar to menance Francine, but even that’s not enough so Stan goes off and comes back with the screaming jaguar who this time is holding the chainsaw. It’s not going to be good telling Stan. So Francine decides not to.

Six months later, Greg and Terry are cooking dinner for the Smiths. Terry is still freaking out about the baby and Stan doesn’t want Francine to eat because she’s gotten so fat. He doesn’t know she’s pregnant.

Upstairs in the attic, Steve and Roger have been hiding for six months, waiting for Klaus to take his revenge, but he still hasn’t.

Stan intercepts a phonecall from Francine’s doctor about her pregnancy. He flips out on her and goes to beat up Greg and Terry. The fight turns into a campy dance number like something out of West Side Story and Stan can’t handle it and runs off. Hayley gives Stan a good talking to and he comes around about the baby (sort of). He’s supportive for the remaining three months of Francine’s pregnancy at least.

Steve and Roger are still in the attic.

Francine has the baby and it’s a girl. Terry only has a moment to finally get over his freaked out feelings about the baby before Stan abducts her and takes off in his car. He’s driving the baby to Nebraska (where gay couple’s have no parental rights – is that for real?). He’s going to put the baby up for adoption in the Cornhusker state. Back home, the story of Stan’s kidnapping is becoming a national news item.

Roger and Steven confront Klaus about when he’s going to get his revenge, but he’s forgotten about the whole thing already, although since they reminded him, he gives another elaborate speech about how he’s going to get his vengeance on them, but they throw some books on top of his fishbowl and wonder why they didn’t think of that nine months ago.

Just before Stan gets to Nebraska, a woman stops him and brings him to her farmhouse to meet her family. They are a normal everyday family, but it turns out that the parents are lesbians. Stan then abducts the lesbians two kids and starts heading for Nebraska again. Now he’s got three kidnapped children in his car.

The two children from the lesbian family are fighting with each other in the backseat and Stan yells at them like they are Hayley and Steve and he realizes that the kids are just like his family. He gives the baby and the other abducted children back and aside from the restraining order filed by Greg and Terry, life is back to normal.
