So Carla is freaking out. She has dreamed in English, which means that she is losing the Latina part of her personality. I understand how she feels. If I ever have a dream without Nathan Fillion in it, I know that my stalking chops are down and I need to start Googling the man. Back to Carla. She begins to immerse Izzie in her Dominican heritage by speaking to her in Spanish whenever Turk is not around. Maybe this way, she can avoid an identity crisis.

Jordan goes out of town and Elliot prances around Dr. Cox throughout several scenes picking away at his need for Jordan and the kids. Perry denies all of this, proclaiming that his personality is not tied to his family. He is not, I repeat not, lonely. Maybe if he keeps telling himself that, he can avoid an identity crisis, too.

The Janitor realizes that JD has been using annoying nicknames for everyone in the hospital because he doesn’t know their real names (you know, Gift Shop Girl, Snoop Dog Attending, The Janitor). After a strange second cameo by Aloma Wright, the actress who played the late Laverne in a new role as the aptly named Shirley, The Janitor challenges JD to a little game of memory: JD will learn the names of everyone in the hospital by that evening. Maybe if he can do that, he can avoid an identity crisis that will result in pain and injury from The Janitor.

So the three wonder who they are if the things their identities are tied to (heritage, family, friends) start to slip away. Turk tells Carla that she will "always be a Latina with an upside-down exclamation point." Elliot tells Dr. Cox that it is OK to miss your family and that he is still the jackass he wants to be, the only difference is that he now has people in his life that are actually happy to see him when he gets home. The Janitor goes through a slide show with JD and he nails every real name except one: The Janitors (Will we ever learn his name?). Three identity crisis’s terminated.

All in all a pretty tight episode. I really LOVED the Risky Business recreation, not to mention Ted’s a capella group’s rendition of “Who Are You” from CSI fame as of late. Next on Scrubs: The Sacred Heart gang tries to hold on to the child left inside each of them.
