Bobby and Joseph are bored at school. They wish someone would pull a fire alarm or at least throw up just to make things interesting. At a backyard cookout, Dale suggests that Bobby propose a school carnival to the Tom Landry student council. Bobby spends the evening practicing for his speech and Hank gives him some pointers.

Lucky cuts his hand playing with a homemade barbed-wire Frisbee. He won’t go to the hospital, so LuAnn begs Hank and the guys to make him go.

Over at the school, Dr. Pope (a racial diversity educator hired by the school board) shows up to give the principal some diversity training. Bobby gives his big speech to the student council and most of them approve. Bobby is in charge of the carnival planning committee. Dr. Pope takes over the committee to start his diversity training exercises.

All of Dr. Pope’s training starts to make Bobby and the carnival planning committee a little crazy. Eventually they all have so much racial guilt they decide to cancel the carnival all together in favor of having a racial diversity training day.

Lucky slathers himself with Vaseline to avoid being dragged against his will to the hospital.

All the rides and vending booths for the carnival arrive, but Bobby and the committee are too busy with their racial diversity training day to set anything up. Hank senses that there’s trouble a-brewin’ and starts to set up for the carnival by himself. The students revolt against the diversity traning day and Hank grabs all the parents to help him run the carnival outside.

Lucky is drinking mouth wash to dull the pain in his hand and the guys wait until his passes out before they grab him and drag him to the hospital.
Hank grabs Bobby and tells him that the carnival is back on. Diversity training is a failure and Dr. Pope takes credit for the successful carnival even though he had nothing to do with it.
