George and Izzie have sex. But it isn't the same. Izzie and George
don't tell each other that it is horrible until the end. They pretend
that they like it and go along with each other's act. Izzie tries to
get the chemistry back, but she doesn't know how.
Speaking of sex, Meredith and Derek are at it again. And, the Chief
walks in on them once. Ew. See, the Chief has moved his trailer next
to Derek's, and Mark continues to kid around with Derek that Derek and
the Chief are dating. Mark is infatuated with Erica. Did it feel like
an overwhelming amount of lust in this episode? I thought so.
Callie. Poor Callie. She asks Miranda to take over the paperwork job
and cover for her while she gets in on all the surgeries. The move
backfires on Callie. Miranda gives Cristina advice about finding a new
specialty and fixes the scheduling problem. The Chief grows suspicious
and gives Miranda her credit, and the audience finds Miranda in tears
and hired as Chief Resident. Callie gets fired. Where is Callie going?
Is she leaving the show? I hope not; her character's grown on me.
Lexie tries to make Meredith like her. Lexie bonds with this baby and
her father, trying to say that the baby needs him, even though his
wife might die. In the end, the father realizes he needs the baby too.
Lexie then tries the same approach with Meredith that Meredith had the
father do with the baby. Meredith then eventually comes to a truce and
tells Alex to take Lexie home. Alex finds out that Lexie and
Meredith's father is a drunk and is sworn to secrecy.
