Blair has some ‘splaining’ to do…and to who? A priest naturally. Blair ends up in confession hoping to feel better about losing her virginity to Chuck. Serena and Dan make with the making out at a coffee shop, but of course in TV land, Vanessa happens to work there. Vanessa brings on the embarrassment asking what Serena and Dan did last night. Yeah they DID THAT last night, so everyone is full of awkward pauses. Blair walks along the street, as Chuck rolls up next to her in his limo. Blair threatens Chuck, not wanting him to spill their magical moment. Chuck doesn’t agree to keep quiet, but promises to see her at her birthday party. Yes, another party is here!

Jenny comes home with her mother in tow. The night before she had asked her mother to return home even after she had abandoned them. Nate comes back to find his mother eating waffles with the family. Nate’s mad. I’m bored. Serena and Blair gossip about the birthday party. Nate’s mother gives him her engagement ring to give to Blair to seal their commitment. Nate doesn’t want to, but his mother pleads with him to reconsider to help their relationship with Blair’s mother (who had had a business deal with the embezzlement lovin’ Dad). Now what is The CW teaching the teens today that fake engagements for 18-year-olds are so totally in!
Blair gets a call from Nate who wants to get back together (maybe because his mother forced him to?) Blair begins to thank the gods above. Dan begins to berate his mother for her actions over the last few months. She begins to realize that maybe she’s, a…um…bad mother? Nate meets Chuck to talk about his problems with Blair and his family. Chuck feels out where Nate is, questioning if he should even BE with Blair. Aww, our little player Chuck has a crush! Dan walks with Vanessa talking about his freak of a family. He asks her to be “nice to Serena” knowing it’s hard for her (and that she can’t!). She wants to prove him wrong and “make nice.” Chuck and Blair talk on the roof of her party about their incident. And like I predicted, admits he has feelings for Blair.
Nate arrives to Blair’s party to find Jenny at the bottom steps not sure whether to go up. He decides he doesn’t want to go to the party and asks her if she wants to take a walk. Dan and Vanessa arrive at the party to a P.O. Serena and Blair. On the roof of the party, Chuck tells Blair the only reason Nate wants her back is because of the deal with her mother.
A few floors below, Serena promises to make nice with Vanessa for Dan’s benefit, so she asks Vanessa to play a “friendly” game of Guitar Hero. The following sequence is too long as we watch Serena play for a good minute and a half. Vanessa is about to play her turn when she mentions that Dan’s mother is back. This ticks off Serena who wasn’t told first. Oh poor little rich girl….grow up! Dan promises to tell her everything about his family. Nate and Jenny talk on the steps about how he doesn’t love Blair. At the party, Blair is sad as Nate didn’t show up, so she takes off. Nate says good-bye to Jenny just as some random girl takes their picture on her phone. The picture goes immediately to Gossip Girl where everyone is a buzz. Blair finally comes to terms that their relationship is over. Vanessa and Serena admit they are jealous of each other and they start to bond.
They begin to laugh as Dan walks in. Dan asks if Serena wants to leave, but she can’t, she has to help Blair. In the next room, Chuck gives Blair is fancy necklace. Serena walks into the room to see them making out on the bed. She’s shocked. At what? The fact that Chuck’s normally like this or that Blair would obviously try to rebound after a break-up?
Hello, obvious Serena, get a clue! Don’t you read Gossip Girl?
