Flashback! Blair and Serena are drunk on Thanksgiving. Dan exits a pie shop and sees a drunk Serena crossing the street about to get hit by a taxi. She misses it and he introduces himself. She calls him Dave and leaves. Flash out. Dan and Serena talk on the phone about what they’re doing for Turkey Day. “Call me between courses,” Serena says sweetly. Um, don’t take seconds, Dan that line is worse then feeling full! Serena and Blair talk about Chuck and Blair confesses. Blair berates Serena for being a tramp. Serena storms off. Serena, her mother Lily, and brother Eric head out in search of a meal after being exiled from the Waldorf’s. We ALL know where this is going, can we say joint Thanksgiving with the Humphries?! I win. Moments later, Serena calls Dan to let him know what happened. He invites her family.

Flashback! Blair and her family are smiles, including her absentee gay father. Serena is there and still seems drunk! Alcoholic! Flash out. Blair’s father calls and cancels coming to dinner. She’s whiney and complains. Nate and his family eat a cold dinner. No one is talking about happy things. They yell a bunch about their troubles. Nate storms off and wants to be anywhere else. Serena’s family arrives to dinner initially glad, but things are about to take a turn when Lily sees Dan’s mother (remember both hate each other since Rufus dated Lily).

Flashback! See a theme? Back at Dan’s house, Dan mentions how he saved a girl. He likes them dangerous he says. Flash out. Things are getting awkward. Lily and Dan’s mother don’t know how to act around each other. At the Waldorf house, Blair realizes her mother dis-invited her father because of how things were left. Blair leaves the table and goes to the kitchen and stuffs her face with pie. In another flashback, we see without “really” seeing it that Blair is bulimic. Back at Dan’s house, Serena gets a call and leaves. Lily and the other adults reveal that they all previously knew each other. At that moment, everyone leaves the table. What a positive day this has been!

Flashback! Serena and Nate talk in Blair’s bathroom. He helps her take off her shoes and get into a bath. But, before it happens, she takes the shower nozzle and sprays him. He gets her back. Blair enters and they spray her. Flash out. Serena enters the same bath to find Blair crying on the ground. Dan and his mother take a walk and talk about Lily. Nate comes back to the house after his tantrum to find his father not breathing on the floor.

Flashback! At the Waldorf’s Serena, Blair, and Nate are having a good time. Flash out. At the hospital, it seems that Nate’s father tried to commit suicide. Nate and his mother discuss how messed up it all is. My big thing here is, Nate’s father tried to KILL himself and neither him or his mother appear upset. At Dan’s house, Serena is informed about her mother’s past and feels sick over it.

Flash...just kidding. The kids talk about how weird their parents are at a restaurant. Lily comes in and wants to talk to Serena and Eric alone. Later, Dan and Jenny exit a taxi confused. They meet up with their parents. Rufus has decided to choose his family over Lily. Blair comes home to find her mother looking over divorce papers. Blair sees how upset she is and gives her a hug. Back at the hospital, Nate waits by his father’s bed. His father wakes up and Nate tells him he needs to clean up. Flashback! Blair and Nate are kissing as Serena sleeps in a chair. Flash out! Serena and her family are simultaneously having a good time at the restaurant eating a plates of fries. Flashback…okay you get it, flashbacks to good times lead to the end where each family is no longer bickering. I do have to add that the final scene is Dan’s family playing touch football. This scene is so silly and overdone I laughed out loud! Loud pop music and corny fake tags and falls. Haha…uh, no!
