Creepy kid episodes are not at the top at my list. I am a mom and a teacher after all. The changelings taking children, taking their form and feeding off their moms was not the most desirable storyline ever, but what can you expect from a show called Supernatural.

Creepy kid episodes are not at the top at my list. I am a mom and a teacher after ll. The changelings taking children, taking their form and feeding off their moms was not the most desirable storyline ever, but what can you expect from a show called Supernatural.

The part I did LOVE was the prospect that Dean could be a dad to little Ben. It was great seeing a mini version of Dean, into cars, AC/DC and of course, chicks.
The episode starts off with a father bringing home his daughter to his ex’s house. The little girl is upset because there are monsters at his house. Of course, mom writes it off, but of course it is true here. We find dad at home later. Death by table saw Is not a good way to go!

Dean and Sam are in town and since Dean is living life to the fullest, he decides to look up his ex Lisa. She is having a party, and you know what Dean is thinking, alright party. We find out it is a birthday party for Ben who is turning 8. Hey, didn’t Lisa and Dean hook up about 8-9 years ago…… So, Dean meets Ben and instantly gets a familiar feeling about him. He looks Like Dean, acts like Dean even talks like Dean. I laughed so hard. The little boy who played Ben did it perfectly! Lisa insists he is not Deans, but Dean continues to wonder.

In the meantime, Sam is at a diner when Ruby shows up to torment him. She knows an awful lot for someone Sam just met. She tells him to look into his mother’s friends and call her when he is done. He finds out that they are all dead; all dying from unusual circumstances.

Dean finds out that things are not right with the kids in the neighborhood, so the boys start to investigate. They find out that a changeling has been taking the form of the children and sucking their parents dry. Dean is concerned about Ben, so he goes to his house to find out it is too late. They do figure out that they changeling has been hiding the kids at a new house site. They head over and find them. They get the kids out and kill the changeling who has been posing as a real estate agent or the subdivision. All is happy again.

Dean finds out that Ben is definitely not his son, his mom also had a fling with a biker. It was a nice thought while it lasted, Dean even seemed disappointed.
To finish off the episode, we find out that Ruby is a DEMON! Wow, I didn’t see that one coming. She wants to work with Sam and if he agrees, she will help him get Dean out of his pending death.

I would rate the episode overall at a B+. I loved the story with Ben and the twist that Ruby was a demon. I am also happy that they are continuing the story of Sam and what happened with his mom. I did not know if they were going to drop it now that the Yellow Eyed Demon was dead. See you next week!
