Joy is visiting Earl in prison when both recognize and old friend, Frank (Michael Rapaport) nearby. In his mind, Earl automatically goes back seven years to the time when he and Randy get kicked out of their parents house and are homeless. The Hickeys see a flyer advertising for a “Room for Rent” and go to the trailer where Frank lives (soon it would be Earl and Joy’s, then Joy and Darnell’s, but that part of the story hasn’t occurred yet). Frank’s “room for rent” is the kitchen and all live together along with Pace. Paco, unbeknownst to everyone, longs for his love, Catalina, who is still in their home country being a maid and waiting for Paco to send for her. When Frank, who also works at the Crabshack, asks Earl and Randy for rent money, the Hickeys decide to rob the Japanese man who they see with the prostitute, Patty. The man, Yoshimatzu, has a diamond watch and the Hickeys track him down his motel room. After sneaking into the room, the would-be thieved run into Frank and Paco who are also there to steal the watch. On the other side of the motel wall, a pregnant Joy is trying to find a “sugar daddy” for her baby and goes after “TV’s” Tim Stack. Joy decides not to sleep with Tim after he comes out in a baby costume to “seduce” her.

While Joy is fleeing from the giant man-baby and searching for a would-be husband, the Hickeys and their roommates steal the watch and form a gang of thieves. The men buy weapons and realize their power when Randy shoots massive hole into the side of the trailer through the refrigerator. The men plot to rob an Indian casino, and while Frank and Paco are off putting the final touches on the plan, Earl and Randy go to the Crab Shack, get drunk, and Earl marries Joy and tells the guys he can’t help them with the robbery. Earl and Joy come “home” to the trailer to find that Randy forgot about the robbery, too. Paco and Frank complete the robbery and instead of using Randy as their fake would-be hostage, they steal Howie Mandel who was performing at the Casino. Paco sees Catalina, who rode in a box from her home country to Camden County and is walking along the side of the road and causes their getaway van to crash into the back of an FBI van, who happened to have just dropped off the newly minted Darnell Turner after he completed their witness protection program.

Back in the present, Earl and Joy learn that Frank is in prison for 20 years for the robbery. Joy, who had been feeling bad for Earl serving 2 years for her, tells him that she doesn’t anymore because she saved Earl from participating in the robbery by tricking him into marrying her. The episode, once again utilized the supporting cast and really though about how Frank’s backstory would be tied in with all of the principle characters on the show. I give the episode a B+.
