For the first time this season, the show begins on this continent. HRG and Loopymom are discussing Claire’s dating life. When Claire enters the room, HRG asks to meet the guy she is dating. Realizing that introducing her boyfriend to the man that kidnapped him might be a bad idea, Claire denies she is dating anyone. For a super spy-guy like HRG, he is pretty gullible.

Nathan sneaks to his kids' school to talk to them. The teacher sees him and chases him off, since the kids mom does not want them talking to Nathan

The Wonder Twins and Grand Theft Auto are driving through Mexico. They see what appears to be a dead body lying in the road, and stop to check on it. Don’t these people ever watch movies? You NEVER check on the dead body in the middle of the road; it always leads to bad things. True to form, the body turns out to be a very messed up Sylar. Breaking “what not to do with a body on the road” number two, they give him a ride.

Back in the Big Easy, Micah is having trouble. His punk pre-teen cousin, who looks like the love child of SNL’s Kenan Thompson and Whoopi Goldberg, wakes him up and they go the kitchen for breakfast. This is a family with problems. Granny Star Trek can’t find a job, and spends the day watching shows about cutting tomatoes into flowers. The granddaughter is excited about being promoted at Good Burger (or wherever it is she works), and Kenan Thompson, Jr. wants $65 for a wrestling PPV.

At the hospital, Mama Petrelli confesses to killing Sulu, even though she did not. She shoots Parkman a mental IM, warning him to back off or they will all be dead. Parkman appears to back off.

Back at Hero High, the cheerleaders have a change of heart and ask Claire to join the team. Even though she is forbidden to do so, she takes the permission slip anyway. Stalker Boy asks why she does not want to stand out, and she tells him they can’t date. He accepts this, and asks her out. She stands her ground and accepts.

Parkman, of course, is not really backing down. He corners a freshly shaven Nathan and tells him pretty much everything. Nathan recognizes “el retrato de la muerte” as a part of a larger snapshot that he has back at his apartment.

Sylar is giving a real snow job to the Wonder Twins and GTA. He tells them he is from NY, and even claims to know the author of “The Book” when Wonder Girl shows it to him. Wonder Boy is the only one with a brain, because he is suspicious. Sylar promises to take the Wonder Twins to NY.

Hurricane Katrina has left many shattered dreams in it’s wake, but Good Burger Girl’s still seem to be intact…at least for a little while. She is informed that she can’t enter management because she is unable to relocate, and then is told she is lucky to even have a job in the first place. She moans to her friend and coworker while cutting tomatoes, one of which she has cut into the shape of a flower, just like the one Granny Star Trek saw on TV.

Parkman and New Nathan are looking for the picture in Nathan’s apartment. They have some male bonding moments, including Parkman’s confession that his ex-wife’s baby was not his. After closing that plot point, they find what they are looking for-- “el Retrato de la Muerte” in all it’s glory. There are some interesting people in the picture--Sulu, Mama, Company Man that Suresh is working for, Nathan’s dad--along with one other person--Parkman’s father!!!!! Parkman has not seen him since he was a child, but he is convinced that Daddy is a major player.

Claire lies to HRG and tells him she is going to the library. He finally grows a brain and follows her. Stalker flies her off before HRG sees them though. They go on their big date to the top of the Hollywood Sign (copyright Hollywood Chamber of Commerce). After some kissing and talking, he convinces her to jump off the sign, since she can’t be hurt. He flies and catches her before she hits the ground, however, gives her some sappy line about never wanting to see her in pain, and they kiss some more.

It seems Micah is finally starting to fit in. He uses his power over machines to steal the PPV, which makes Lil’ Kenan happy. Good Burger Girl comes in and sees the stolen TV. Micah apologizes, and hugs his cousin a LITTLE too long. Good Burger Girl watches the wrestling and sees some super kick move.

Parkman takes “el retrato de la muerte” home and asks GPS girl to find his dad. She looks at the picture and freaks. In a twist straight out of Lost, Parkman’s dad is THE BAD Man haunting her dreams!!!!!! She stares off into space as the helix symbol appears in her eyes.

Back in Mexico, Grand Theft Auto sees a paper with the Wonder Twins picture on it. He warns Sylar and is repaid with a brick to the head. Sylar gets in the car, tells the Wonder Twins the cops are on the way, and the three of them drive off.

Claire sneaks into the house. HRG is waiting. Instead of confessing to dating a guy HRG had kidnapped, she confesses to joining the cheerleading team, even though she didn’t. He buys the bull, and gives his blessing to the thing she is not doing. After she goes to bed, the Haitian shows up and gives HRG a lead on the other paintings.

Although GPS girl is freaked out, she agrees to help Parkman find his dad. She begins to stare at the picture…

Back in ‘Nawlins, Good Burger Girl is locking up for the night when a gunman breaks in to rob the Good Burger. Instead he is treated to a spinning round kick by GBG, and runs out, hoping none of his friends will find out he was beaten up by a girl.

GPS girl closes in on Parkman’s dad. She finds the city, then the street, then the apartment complex. Just as she finds the apartment, she screams that he can see her, and goes limp. Parkman and Suresh scream and shake her trying to wake her up, but she is in shock. Parkman can read her mind-”Help me”…………….
