A geeky spy guy is trying to break out of an underground lab. He blows past an armed guard and makes his way outside.

Buy More is in a state of chaos. All the green shirts are off the floor. Morgan is in the kitchen, blindfolded, eating mysterious stuff out of the refrigerator for all the sales staff. The boss busts up the party, but he only yells at Chuck. He wants Chuck in top form for the upcoming big promotion interview and that means keeping Morgan in check too.

Over at Chuck’s place Ellie is putting up Halloween decorations for the party and she wants Chuck to ditch his two person Dune sandworm costume that he wears every year with Morgan. It’s time to grow up, Chuck. Captain Awesome and Ellie are going to be Adam and Eve.

Morgan is AWOL from the Buy More and Chuck has to track him down. He’s at the arcade for some reason and he’s in a video game contest with the spy guy. Chuck flashes on the guy and realizes that he’s an escaped CIA asset and that he’s dangerous. The guy sees Chucks fancy CIA watch and takes off.

Chuck calls Sarah and fills her in on the spy guy. When he gets home she’s waiting in his room, which is weird. She gives Chuck a cute couple picture of the two of them that was faked by the technicians back in Washington. The next day, at Buy More, Casey is mad because Chuck didn’t call him with the info on the escaped spy. Morgan is goofing off again and Chuck dresses him down. General Grandma tells Casey the spy guy is bad news and that he has to be careful in apprehending him. Outside the Buy More a masked man pulls a gun on Chuck and it’s spy guy. He convinces Chuck that he’s not a bad guy and that he just wants to be a regular person and not a CIA spook.

Morgan is alone and sad cause Chuck’s not around and Captain Awesome takes him under his wing and teaches him all the ins and outs of being an adult, including how to tuck in his shirt and comb his hair.

Chuck is over at the IHOP eating pancakes with spy guy. He’s doodling and they bond over being recruited by the feds. Chuck pays for breakfast and Lazlo (the spy guy) gives Chuck his drawing as an IOU. Spy guy doesn’t want Chuck to tell Casey or Sarah about him and convinces Chuck they can’t be trusted. He’s certain they have his room and his car filled with surveillance bugs.

Chuck rushes home and finds bugs all over his room, including inside the picture Sarah gave him. No wonder she was in his room. Chuck confronts Casey and he’s pissed because Casey has been eavesdropping on all his intimate moments. Casey laughs because “intimate moments” would be a major upgrade on all the boring stuff he’s had to listen to coming out of Chucks room – such as a four hour debate between him and Morgan about what kind of sandwich they’d bring if they were trapped on a desert island.

The feds have everyone but Chuck convinced that Lazlo is a murderer. Chuck agrees to hide him at the Buy More since it’s closed for the night. While they bond over James Bond, Chuck starts to notice that Lazlo might be a little crazy. Eventually, he’s fully aware since Lazlo threatens to start WWIII with stuff he’s hacked while hanging around the Buy More. Sarah and Casey have been trying to get ahold of Chuck to warn him, but he turned his cellphone off and Lazlo smashed his fancy CIA watch. Chuck makes a break for it, but Lazlo beats him to his Nerd Herd car and they take off with the feds in pursuit, but he manages to eject Chuck from the car and elude the pursuing government agents.

The next day is Halloween and Chuck’s big interview at the Buy More. Morgan shows up all dressed up and people think it’s a Gordon Gekko (Michael Douglas’ character from Wall Street) costume, but Morgan his taken Captain Awesome’s advice to heart. Chuck pulls spy guy’s drawing out of his wallet and flashes again, realizing that Lazlo is going to blow up Santa Monica Pier. The pier is where the CIA first recruited Lazlo when he was a kid. Chuck blows off the interview and steals Morgan’s bike to stop the bomb. Morgan tries to do the interview for Chuck since he’s had to step out for an emergency, but the corporate big wig isn’t having it and Harry gets the promotion and is now Chuck’s boss.

Under the pier, Lazlo has Chuck’s Nerd Herd car all rigged to blow and Chuck has to defuse the bomb before Casey and Sarah can get there. He cuts the correct wires on the bomb and Casey and Sarah show up and take spy guy down.

Back at Buy More, Anna tells Chuck about Morgan trying to help him out and that someone stole his bike. Chuck rides it home to find Morgan at the Halloween party but he can’t wear the costume because it’s a two-person sandworm suit. Chuck let’s Morgan be the sandworm head for the first time. Sarah shows up in her Princess Leia Jabba’s slave girl costume and takes a real picture of herself with Chuck so he’ll have something real and not something that was cooked up in a lab somewhere underneath Virginia where they work on that stuff.

In the final scene, we see that Casey, who’s not at the party. Is still monitoring Chuck with some more bugs that Chuck must have missed. 4.5 stars out of 5 stars. Chuck get’s a whole extra star just for having Sarah in the Princess Leia costume.
