The Television Critics Association Awards were handed out this weekend.

- "The Office" - outstanding achievement in comedy
- "Heroes" - outstanding program of the year
- "Friday Night Lights" - outstanding new program
- "The Sopranos" - outstanding achievement in drama and the Heritage Award, which salutes long-running programs with "a lasting cultural or social impact."
- "Planet Earth" - outstanding achievement in news and information and outstanding achievement in movies, miniseries and specials.
