The minimum starting bid, on eBay, is $2,500.

According to their webapge; "the foundation's mission is to preserve biological diversity in the living environment by inventing and implementing business and educational strategies in the service of conservation."

Also, if you have at least $12,500 buring a hole in your very deep pokets, The E.O. Wilson Foundation is also auctioning off the ability to name a new species of Orchid!
