If you haven’t had the chance to view an episode of FOX’s new comedy, “Unhitched”, then you better get online. Tonight was the finale of its pilot season. FOX aired six episodes in four weeks, an inventive way to debut a new show before regular programming returns to air with new episodes. Will the network order another season or seasons of the Farrelly Brothers’ fresh new comedy? We’ll find out. Let’s see how they ended a very funny pilot season.

Freddy: After a night at the opera with his date, we find out that Freddy doesn’t know how to drive. His date can’t believe it. When she is pulled over for speeding she flashes some cleavage to the officer and joins him in his squad car for some “questioning.” Freddy notices that a second officer in the car joins them in the back seat. When she finally returns to the car, hair disheveled and out of breath, she tells Freddy they let her off with a warning. Freddy’s response: “The important thing is you got off.” Freddy turns to Tommy for help overcoming his fear to drive that stems from a traumatizing experience during his youth.

Tommy: After hearing about Freddy’s date from hell, Tommy promises to teach Freddy how to get past his fear of driving. He gets Freddy behind the wheel, they get moving, and Tommy jumps outs to leave Freddy to face his fear on his own. Mission accomplished! Unfortunately, Tommy messes things up for Gator by revealing to Gator’s new love interest that Gator isn’t the animal lover she thought he was.

Gator: Gator flirts with the newcomer to the apartment building. He finds out that she is amazing…and she’s also an animal rights activist. Gator puts on a big lie to get her to like him, going as far as picketing a seafood restaurant and stealing the pet lobster mascot to impress her. In all comes to an end when they return to Gator’s apartment to find Tommy has cooked a surprise meal for them – yes, lobster.

Kate: When Kate sights a rat in her apartment, she calls an exterminator. Kate is attracted to him, they flirt, and they go on a date. Unfortunately, his dinner talk consists of his on-the-job experiences with animal infestation. Not exactly appetizing to Kate’s stomach while trying to eat dinner. She decides to give him a second chance when she notices how kind he is to animals after saving a new mother mouse and her babies. He walks out her when he finds out she’s a divorce lawyer. Better luck next time Kate.

Funniest moment: When Gator, Freddy, and Tommy try to rid Kate’s apartment of the rat she spotted, Tommy attempts to slap shot it out the window with a broom, only to hit Gator with it. Gator freaks out and manages to throw it onto the counter. Freddy chases the rat into the microwave, trapping it by closing the door. They all look at each other with curiosity. Yes, they went there. We didn’t see it in pain, but the guys said it took about 9 minutes.

PG’s TwoCents: This show is hilarious! The Farrelly Brothers have found a way to bring their humor to television. I really hope the network brings it back for another season. After watching Seinfeld, Friends, and Mad About You for years, I thought that another comedy about friendship and relationships couldn’t be done. “Unhitched” has a found a new way to find humor in a group of friends by examining their lives after divorce. What did you think of the pilot season of “Unhitched”? Do you think we’ll see a second season?
