House takes the case but the parents haven’t told Jackson that he could have been their daughter. House isn’t supposed to tell him. The parents come to House with a diagnosis of a blind uterus and insist on an MRI, even though the team had already ruled that out. House goes along with the MRI. House is being nice and Kutner goes to Wilson about it. I think it’s making the team jumpy.

Wilson is convinced Cuddy slept with House because House is being nice. Cuddy says she didn’t and that Wilson should take advantage of House’s good mood and get some of the money House owes him back.

Jackson admits to Hadley that he’s not that into basketball and had wanted to take dance instead but his mom wouldn’t let him.

House is passed out in his chair and wasn’t breathing so Foreman gives him a “Tune in Toyko”. Ooh, fun! Wilson thinks House is on heroin or something that’s stronger than Vicodin. Foreman agrees since House hasn’t noticed that he and Hadley are still dating.

Hadley thinks Jackson is suicidal, but Taub does labs on the kid’s water bottle that turns up toxoplasmosis. The parents are still refusing to tell Jackson the truth about his gender. Come on people, this is just getting stupid. The kid’s thirteen, he has a right to know.

House figures out that Wilson thinks he’s on heroin. House proves he isn’t by taking a shot of bourbon which would be bad if he were on heroin. Then House throws up in an alley. House admits he’s on methadone because it eliminates his pain. Cuddy confronts him about the methadone and how it could kill him. She says if he stays in her hospital he can’t take the drug, so House quits.

Hadley tells Jackson that his meds aren’t vitamins and that he should ask his parents about that. The parents, mainly the mother, still refuse to tell the kid. But then they do tell him and the kid gets upset that they lied to him all these years. Hadley talks to him about his suicidal poem and the kid throws up blood.

Wilson goes to House’s apartment and a cute girl opens the door. House shaved off all his facial hair. He looks good to me either way. House has an appointment at another hospital to try to start up a diagnostic department. Wilson thinks they were wrong to be so hard on House and this is his one chance to be not miserable. Cuddy offers House his job back with conditions on his methadone treatment. House actually says thank you. Guys, I don’t like this new House AT ALL. I miss my snarky House, y’all.

Oh yeah, House is completely fine. He tells the parents that the reason their kid is sick is their fault. His kidneys needed time to bounce back from the dehydration that brought him into the ER and their insisting on the MRI caused the problem.

House feels like the methadone put him in such a good mood that he’s the one that caused the patient to be sick because he was in a good mood and humored the parents. Cuddy wants him to be happy and just take the methadone. House refuses. Yay for snarky, miserable House!

Is it wrong I want House in pain? The show would suck if he was nice all the time, right? Might as well call it "Wilson" if that were the case and we all know how boring that would be. Would you watch "Wilson, M.D."? Leave a comment and let me know!

  2. Ok, we need snarky House ~ but it sucks that this would come at his painful expense. Then again, wouldn't ANY.ONE.ELSE. on earth be home drawing disability & bombed out of their minds? Ok maybe that's just me.

I would have liked this episode a lot more if this wasn't the THIRD gender-confused/mistaken kid show that I've seen in a week. Private Practice, Law & Order SVU ~ now this poor kid. Do these writers get together & decide on a theme week or something?

And no, I love me some Wilson, but I'm not watching him for an hour!

  3. Actually, this is the second he/she they've had on this show alone. Remember the young female model with the cajones that never dropped?
