Welcome back! That was not too bad of a hiatus. As we jump into the second half of the season, I am a bit disappointed that the whole episode was completely oblivious to what has happened previously on Supernatural. The only thing that linked it was in the beginning of the episode when Sam said that he has been working them non-stop so that Dean could keep his mind off his time in Hell.

The episode starts off with an older man eating dinner and watching TV. When the lights flash in true Supernatural fashion, you know that things are not going to end well for him. He gets up to check a fuse, and a door opens behind him. A figure of a pale woman comes out of a door and we see blood splatter behind him.

As Sam and Dean continue to work to ease Dean’s mind, he learns of a man who is killed in a locked room. That sounds like a job for Sam and Dean! They head to the empty house, with a For Sale sign out front. What they didn’t see was that the house was sold. They go inside and find a doll head in the closet, creepy huh? Other than that, they see where a dumb waiter was covered up and nothing more than a bad smell. While they are unsure that this is even a case, the family who bought the house shows up. Sam and Dean claim to be inspectors who find gas and asbestos. They tell the family to give them one night to take care of it. The Carters leave, but not for long.

Sam and Dean go and talk to the woman who cleaned for the man who died. She tells them that his wife died during childbirth and the daughter hung herself when she was 20. No one knows why this is. She gave them some pictures, and Sam and Dean headed back to the house.

The Carters already come back and discover there is nothing wrong with the house. They begin to move in as both kids have encounters with the “ghost”. Kate sees her in the upstairs window, and Danny plays catch with her in his room. Danny’s parents find the word “Go” on the wall, and automatically assume it was Danny. He denies it and tells them that it was the girl who lives in the walls. He said that she wants him to stay, but she doesn’t like adults and wants his parents to leave. As Kate lays in bed, she thinks that the dog is licking her hand as she sees the dog come into her room. Ok, that is a little weird. A “ghost” licking your hand?

As Kate freaks out and comes downstairs as Sam and Dean arrive to warn the Carters of the situation. The lights flash and go out, as they hear Buster the dog wining outside. The men follow a bloodline that heads them to the words “too late”. All of Sam and Dean’s supplies have been stolen and all of the tires have been slashed. There goes their getaway. Kate sees the girl in the woods, and they all head back inside. Dean lays a salt line, as Sam goes to check out the attic where the girl hung herself. But as they soon find out, she is not a ghost, but in fact human. It can’t be Rebecca, the girl who hung herself, because she is too young. Dean tries to fend her off with a fireplace poker, but it is Sam with his flashlight that gets her away.

They get outside and have Kate and her mom hide in the shed as they realize Danny is missing and they must go find him. Sam found a diary in the attic and they realize the girl is Rebecca, and her father’s daughter. EEEWWW. She hung herself because she was ashamed of having a child with her father. He then hid the girl in the walls.

Sam and Brian go to look for Danny outside as Dean and Ted go into the walls of the house. Dean finds where the girl lives, but she sneaks up on Ted and kills him. Dean goes back out to regroup and break the news about Ted. Sam and Dean figure out that the dumbwaiter must have been used to feed the girl, so they head back in to see if that will lead them to Danny. Dean is able to find Danny, but the girl and her brother attack Dean. Once Danny is out, Sam helps dean fend off the brother as the sister goes after the others. Dean kills the brother. Brian gets back outside in time to take care of the sister. Everybody is safe now, but definitely not happy.

I thought the episode was ok. I though that we would have seen something better for the return, but that is ok. There is definitely more to come!
