Things aren’t looking so great for Joy. This week, she’s featured on the news as Camden’s “Loser of the Week” for assaulting Brian Dunkleman on the set of “Estrada or Nada,” which is, sadly, still not a real show. But she can’t exactly see the news, since she and the rest of her family are in the government’s hands.

Joy and Darnell find themselves in a witness protection program room that looks like a prison cell, and Darnell still refuses to tell her what he did to end up in witness protection. Only Mr. Turtle knows, and since he’s lost, no one will ever know. Their new identity is Mr. and Mrs. Rosenstein, and their hobbies include bowling and designing clothes for their pet collie. Obviously, Joy is less than thrilled. Back in Camden, Earl and Randy search the trailer park for clues, where they run into the mailman, who tells them their mail’s being forwarded. They get in a box, intending to be sent to Joy. Joy tries to get a new name for herself, because she “doesn’t sew clothes for dogs. The only thing I ever sewed was my stab wound on prom night.”

While Earl and Randy are on their search, we get our first Mr. Turtle sighting! Don’t worry, he’s still adorable. But Joy is even farther from adorable, as the government has dressed her as a drab brunette with terrible glasses. Darnell is dressed in tweed, which suits him. Darnell is told he should have taken a job in Tokyo, but he says staying in Camden was the best decision he ever made. Joy hears him, and says she’ll hold up her end of the deal. In the box, Earl realizes that karma is punishing him for ruining Joy’s dream. They find themselves in a dumpster, where Camden’s forwarded mail ends up. Earl finds a letter to Joy from Estrada or Nada, giving Joy a chance to be on the show. Earl gets everyone in town to text their votes for Joy, and she wins the vote. Darnell says she deserves the chance to be Joy one last time.

At the filming of the show, Randy searches for Chinese dudes who could be Joy. She shows up, and ties Estrada, and the outcome is decided by dog-dressing and a trivia question about Ohio. Joy wins, and apologizes to Earl for everything she’s done to him. I really liked this episode, and I want to know what will happen! Will Mr. Turtle find his way home? Will Phyllis and Marty become Joy and Darnell’s new identity? Hopefully we’ll find out next week! Leave your Two Cents in the comments.
