The Good and the Bad About This Week’s Episode:

    The Good

    1. Olivia’s sexual assault from last season’s episode “Undercover” isn’t being forgotten. On SVU, the detectives are frequently put through hell and all too often, the events of previous weeks are just brushed under the carpet of “well, time has passed.” Fortunately, the writers got a clue as far as Olivia goes and have decided this isn’t the type of thing she’d just let go. So, this week, Olivia struggles with post-traumatic stress from what happened in the prison. Only M.E. Warner and Fin know what Liv is hiding and it comes into play with this week’s case. Olivia almost shoots a man and is altogether distracted when it comes to the case.

    2. I don’t watch True Blood but I have a friend that does, so I’ve seen about half of an episode. That translates to seeing Ryan Kwanten in this episode and thinking, “Oh, he looks familiar.” He did a fantastic job in this episode, especially in the last ten minutes when he tries to comfort Olivia. He did such a good job that now I’m a bit interested in True Blood, just to see him. Go figure.

    The Bad

It was a pretty slow moving episode and the storyline didn’t interest me so much. I’m concerned about Olivia but the solution to her problem seemed to be a constant “Olivia, are you okay?” No. She’s not. What are we going to do about it? She really shouldn’t have been working a case but that would mean no Mariska Hargitay this week and we already didn’t have Christopher Meloni.

Part of the problem was that last week’s episode was so on its game that it made this week’s episode seem so subpar. Hopefully, next week will be back to normal. So what did you think? Tell me your TwoCents in the comments!

  2. Let me warn you now ~ if you are going to watch True Blood expecting to see LAO:SVU's Ryan Kwanten, you'll be sadly disappointed. Now if you want to see the (HAWT!) boy in a role where he's too stupid to breath (and spends more time naked than clothed) ~ Have Fun!! I loved True Blood, but his character was seriously too dumb for words. This week's acting gig really went a long way to redeeming his career in my eyes. But darn that boy has a great body in True Blood ....

    Anywho.

I want a Finn/Munch episode this season! We keep seeing them on the backburner ~ it would be a nice change of pace to see Munch with a staring role again.

The story this week was a nice vehicle to remind people that Olivia isn't over the rape, nor should she be. It takes more than a few weeks to heal & yes, flashbacks are normal. For all the work this show has done to illuminate how victims should be treated, and how hard their cases are to prosecute ~ it's nice to see them point out how hard the aftermath is on the victim ...

  3. Did you like the part where Stabler and Fin tripped on V with Jason Stackhouse?
