Larry is an agoraphobe who won’t go to the hospital even though he’s in excruciating pain. House doesn’t want to acknowledge his kiss with Cuddy and believes he’s better off alone. Cuddy is trying to convince herself that a relationship with House is a bad idea. Wilson is trying desperately to play Cupid. What hi-jinks will ensue? Darn skippy!

Larry collapses in his front foyer with a bouquet of roses but refuses to be taken to the hospital by the EMTs. He’s agoraphobic, you see, so home is where the heart is…going to fail. Larry and his girlfriend at the time were shot. He survived but she didn’t so you automatically think PTSD, but nope, he was like that before the shooting.

Since Larry won’t leave his house, all diagnoses and procedures have to be performed at his home. Somebody wants an infection!

Cameron is back for this episode. This is the most we’ve seen of her in a couple of seasons now and she still takes every opportunity to screw things up with her feelings. Like when they knock Larry out for a bowel surgery but then take him to the hospital while he’s under anesthesia to perform it, and she wakes him up to tell him he’s in the hospital! Way to go Cameron, geez! Larry, of course, freaks out and hurts himself and proceeds to bleed all over the place.

Before House can figure out what’s wrong with him, Larry gets sicker and flat lines. House wants to transfer him to the hospital, but Cameron gets his heart restarted with the paddles so he can stay home. See? She’s always messing things up.

At one point, they do a bowel surgery and end up setting Larry’s innards on fire. That was pretty wicked. End result is that Larry still has gunshot fragments in his leg that are giving him lead poisoning.

House tells Larry that he’s not just Agoraphobic, he’s a coward. House basically tells him that he can hole up and pretend he’s happy or he can man up and stop being a chicken. Let’s hope House takes his own advice and grabs on to Cuddy. And I do mean that literally. Heh.

Wilson tries to convince Cuddy to date House, and then tries to get House to ask Cuddy out. Neither party is budging so Wilson asks Cuddy out to make House jealous. Cuddy is not an idiot and sees right through it.

Montage! At the end of the episode, everyone takes steps forward except House who chickens out like the biggest chicken that ever clucked. All he had to do was ring the doorbell. I mean, if Larry can leave his house and Taub’s wife can forgive the infidelity, surely House can ring a doorbell and ask a girl out. Apparently not, since he retreats down the steps. Aw House. That’s so not like you.

Will House and Cuddy make a go of things or will they save that for next season? Did you miss Cameron all this time? I didn’t. Leave your two cents in the comments.

  2. 1st off: HATING this new blogspot login crap. Half the time it doesn't show up on my computer so I can't post a response to anyone! ARGH!

2nd: House is such a wuss. Ring the stinkin doorbell already dude!! We all know you want her ~ It's a repeat of Stacy ~ he can't get his head out of his tail long enough to have a happy life. Idiot.

I thought I missed Cameron until she came back, and then I realized that I'm glad she's gone. That girl lives to let her emotions screw everything up. Yeesh. Poor Chase ...

  4. Homeslice (I've been dying to do that) - I agree, House should have just manned up and rang the dang bell. I think House doesn't believe he deserves happiness. He's an addict and he's isolated himself.

Word on not missing Cameron. She really bugs.

  5. I think there's more to Wilson this episode: After talking to House he realizes he wants to ask Cuddy out himself. As Cuddy thinks she reveals the grand jealosy plan, you can clearly see he's hiding his disappointment and playing along with it.
It's the same look he gave Cuddy a few episodes back, when she asked him out on what he thought was a date but was instead about adoption papers.
