So… in the first three minutes we see Izzie have sex with ghost Denny and we watch Sadie pee in front of Meredith while she reads her mom’s journals on the bathroom floor. WTF is going on tonight? I don’t know (yet) but I suggest you all buckle up for what will hopefully be a juicy ride! Enjoy!

Lexi and the Dungeon of Doom…
We find Lexi, Sadie, and their intern pals all downstairs in their dungeon of doom where they have evidently given one of their comrades an epidural. He pisses himself, which is mildly amusing, but still overshadowing by a sensation that these interns have lost their minds. Sadie decides to stir the pot by mentioning that Meredith thinks Lexi is prissy. At that juncture, Lexi- being the genius that she is- suggests they take out the guy’s appendix. The guy chickens out (he, evidently, draws the line at the catheter) so of course Sadie steps in and volunteers- as long as she can cut one of the others open next.

The butchers find themselves an open outpatient surgery room and begin their work by giving Sadie an epidural. I have a question- where do they get all this spare equipment? Can doctors and nurses just, like, ransack the hospital, or what? Lexi begins her work and we see that she’s reading out of a book. Let me repeat that: READING OUT OF A BOOK! Lexi has last minute nerves and suggests they exercise doctor-like judgment and not cut up their peer, but of course, Sadie takes the scalpel and cuts herself open- again. What is wrong with this chick?

Turns out her appendix is a little inflamed… but the soldiers continue on and something clearly goes wrong when a petrified Lexi summons Meredith. Yang comes, too. A (surprisingly calm Bailey) comes, also, and helps Yang and Meredith clean up the intern’s butchered surgery. Meredith and Yang face the chief who is actually basically commending them for handling the situation and reaching out for help. Then Lexi the Moron storms in and says she can’t let them take the blame and that Yang already tried to shut it down.

Then Chief gets pissed, Meredith gets pissed because Yang knew, but to be fair, Yang knew about Sutras- not surgery on Sadie.
Yang takes Meredith to the cleaners afterwards for not having her back with the chief. And I agree- because Meredith sucks. The residents get to lecture their own interns but the lectures were a bit anti-climactic except for when Alex almost roughed one up for talking smack about Izzie.

    Sleep Walker…
A man is brought into the ER (with his daughter, I guess) who was sleep walking and consequently took a two story tumble through a plate glass window. Ouch! He wakes up kind of panicky and (accidently) punches Callie in the face. She falls to the ground with a small bloody nose.

The man thinks that his medicine helps his sleep walking but evidently it doesn’t. We come to find out that he sleep walks all the time and that the daughter blames herself. The surgeons believe that he may have epilepsy. McDreamy works his magic, cuts the guy’s brain open, and removes the epilepsy parts or whatever and bam- he’s back to being a normal guy who can sleep!

    The Funny Couple…
Alex begins to treat a couple- well, a woman (Lauren)- who apparently eats and then has to poop immediately. Lauren thinks she has stomach cancer (she read it on the internets) and he (Seth) thinks she just has diarrhea. For the record, I recognize Seth and Lauren in this scene but I could not tell you where I recognize them from if my life depended on it. Readers- do your magic- what else have they been in? At any rate we come to learn that Lauren took antibiotics on her own and now she’s killed good germs. And now she needs a- wait for it- fecal transplant. Yes, Seth has to poop in a bowl, so it can be pushed down a tube to Lauren. Wow. WOW. I think Lauren is a hypochondriac. I think Seth thinks so, too.

    Crazy Izzie and the Ghost…
Izzie and ghost Denny have sex? Check. Izzie and ghost Denny cuddle? Check. Izzie falls asleep, wakes up, and starts looking for Denny in a panic but he’s just in the bathroom? Check. Izzie picks Alex over ghost Denny? Check! (and GOOD, because Alex is being like… mature… and awesome… ).

    Final Thoughts…
Eight and a half out of ten scalpels.

  2. I don't get how Christina is justified in going off on Meredith ~ how can your best friend jump in & defend you when she doesn't know what's going on? She didn't know that Xtina only knew about sutures, how was she supposed to defend her to the chief when Xtina hadn't told her what was going on?

Sadie is DEMENTED. How long is her contract?

Best line of the night was Derek's: "Who's making a porno movie in Izzy's room?"

Loved seeing Alex be mature & supportive. I like this side of him!

And Mark?! With the kid & comforting Callie & being a generally nice guy ... *sniff* Carrying the kid to bed was just sweet.

Poor Callie (married, betrayed, gay, abandoned) her life really is sucking right now. I like the scenes with her & Mark ~ I wonder how they'll play it when Mark starts to make his move toward Little Grey. Which is coming ... it's soooooo coming.

WHAT is the deal with McArmy?! He is seriously hot & seriously screwed up all at the same time. He's perfect for Xtina! LOL

I've heard a rumor (Entertainment magazine) that Izzy is supposed to have a medical condition causing these visions. Apparently it can make her orgasm loudly, but it won't kill her.

  3. Haha, I love the above comments. So funny!

I recognized Lauren and Seth from 'What I Like About You' and 'The West Wing', respectively. I love Jeffery Dean Morgan (the guy who plays Denny) and I really liked the character of Denny, but they have to wrap this up soon!!
