We left off with Betty competing with Lindsay Lohan in the office. Let me just say, we have heard all the hype in the news about these two not getting along and there being a struggle with who is the bigger star. I, for one, can say I am so glad it is going to be over...... or isn't it?
Betty/Kimmie drama:
The show starts off with Kimmie (Lohan) bossing Betty around and Betty has had enough. Betty takes the advice of Jesse (her friend from the apartment bldg) and decides to do what it takes to get ahead in life. So she approaches Daniel and wants to do a story. He tells her to pitch one to him and she comes up with "fruit". She decides to do it on the Tiko berry. When she looks it up on the web she finds out model Adriana Lima loves this berry. She tells Daniel and Wilhelmina and they decide that this is going to be the cover story. Bumping out Kimmie's story. Kimmie is not happy. She sabotages Betty's 2 minutes of glory on TV.
When everyone is waiting for Adriana to show up, in walks Kimmie with Adriana and she has told her all of "her"ideas of the photo shoot (which are actually Betty's) She even got a famous photographer, which then ousted Cliff (Marcs boyfriend). Oh no you didn't.......just diss Cliff! Marc and Amanda have had it with Kimmie. Betty, Marc, and Amanda plan their revenge.
So, as the tree of them sit and try to plan what to do, they decide killing her or setting her up with drugs won't work. I just love the three of them together and how they think, well ok, the way Amanda and Marc think. They decide to let Wilhelmina do the dirty work and plan on getting Kimmie to NOT use the necklace, Willie wanted so bad, in the shoot. That should set her off, huh?
Marc and Amanda convince Kimmie the necklace is hideous and so she has it removed from the Adriana's neck. Betty tells her she is so strong and Willie admires that in people. But later, Betty feels bad and tries to tell Kimmie to use the necklace and not to stand up to Willie, but Kimmie thinks it is a ploy. Needless to say Wilhelmina shows up and wants the necklace on Adriana, but Kimmie says it is ugly and tells Willie to just go and that she has it under control. Big mistake! Willie fires her. Yea!!! about time! Kimmie throws all the Tiko berries in the lake as security carries her off. Betty explains what happened to Adriana and the photo shoot is a success! Daniel is very pleased and rewards Betty with business cards with her name on them. Betty is very happy and show them to Jesse when she gets home.
Daniel/ Wilhelmina drama:
Wilhelmina meets Connor Owens (Grant Bowler) and likes him and wants to hire him at Mode. He says that will never happen because he and Daniel have a past. This intrigues Willie and of course wants him even more now. She has a talk with Daniel and tells him we need a CFO and Conner is the man. Daniel says no, but Willie sets up a meeting with the three of them and Conner gives him a plan of what he would do. Daniel wants no part of reading it. Later, Willie tells Daniel that she will call Conner and tell him the deal is off, but Daniel takes the phone and tells Conner he is hired. This puts a smirk on Willie's face, but oh, she has no idea! When Conner comes to the office, Daniel takes him to his office and they say the plan has worked and Wilhelmina has no idea. They are friends after all, and all this was a set up to make Willie think she was getting away with something. Gotta love it!
Now this episode promoted that Ralph Macchio was in it. Well let me tell you..... it was all of 3 minutes. He came to Hilda's solon saying he was a councilman and that she needs to have a business license to run it. She is not happy. By the way, Ignacio votes for the first time.

By the way: item on the counters in the circular hallway....galoshes with lollipops in them. Trust me, check it out each week. I am also glad the orange is back and the black/white is out.

I so didn't realize that was Ralph! I thought it was such a wierd scene, but that explains it a little bit.
