If I comment on the acting, please do not assume that the story let my mind wander. Some of the talent in this group hasn’t been stretched this way in a while. In particular this week, I’ll point out the X-Files Mitch Pileggi, going from a government bureaucrat to a Nazi scumbag.

If I comment on the acting, please do not assume that the story let my mind wander. Some of the talent in this group hasn’t been stretched this way in a while. In particular this week, I’ll point out the X-Files Mitch Pileggi, going from a government bureaucrat to a Nazi scumbag.

Darby gets a going-away present from Agent Kohn. The rogue ATF agent sends him photos of SAMCRO getting guns from the IRA. Using this leverage, he is able to meet with the Mayans, urging them to intercept the Sons. He recommends killing Clay first. All he says he wants under Mayan control is Charming. But as the Mayans hit the drop spot, they also storm Darby’s home and take the photos.

Short by seventy thousand, Clay and the gang look for ways to patch the shortfall to guarantee the delivery. Gemma meets with her friend in the porn industry, who offers 55 thousand at 20% interest. An unhappy Gemma leverages past courtesies to get the rate down to 5%. Looking to patch the remaining funds, Halfsack steals an ambulance, thinking he can sell it to get the money. The gang quickly points out that it’s so traceable, it can’t be moved. Through a stroke of luck, Jax comes across a crashed gas tanker that Darby was planning on using to transport meth. He sells the tanker to the Sherriff, and the Sons have the money for the IRA.

Clay delivers the cash to their new contact, Cameron. The Mayans hit the bar, and Cameron is shot. When they return to the clubhouse, the stolen ambulance comes in handy. Chibs treats the wound, stating that he had been trained as a medic. Jax leaves the scene to get more sophisticated supplies from Tara. Putting out the call for more guns and bodies to prepare for the oncoming Mayan war, Clay questions Jax’s commitment once again. He tells Jax that the big picture can wait; this is only about blood.

After he leaves her, she is attacked by Kohn, who holds a pillow over her face until Jax leaves. He pleads with her for another chance, but when the conversation turns to her abortion, he flips out again. He knocks her unconscious and starts to rape her. Tara comes to and notices his gun on the dresser. She rolls over on top, waits for a key moment and grabs Kohn’s gun. She shoots him in the stomach and calls Jax. When he arrives, he urges her to call it in, knowing what Kohn will be in for. Kohn keeps running his mouth, and when he calls Tara a biker slut, Jax shoots him dead.

In the final montage, Abel cries after he has been released from his incubator; the Sons and the Mayans prepare for war; and Jax and Tara make love in front of Kohn’s body. Interesting mix, as always.

So there’s my two cents…What you think? Drop them in the comments or drop me a line at: tom@thetwocents.com .
