Opening in flashback, we see Linc and a partner carrying out a snatch-and-grab operation that starts with crashing their car into a limousine. It is an operation Linc wants to replicate to get General Krantz’s card. But Wyatt is tipped off, and he manages to put a bullet into Sucre as the General escapes.

Michael and Self meet with Gretchen. She will give over the pages they need and help them, but Bagwell is part of the package she offers. When Michael breaks the news to Sara, it triggers flashbacks of her imprisonment and the female guard who helped her escape. The flashbacks intensify as she treats Sucre, and we see Gretchen killing her.

At GATE, Gretchen returns Bagwell to his office and starts to make plans for digging into the General’s building. Bagwell warns her about Michael’s focus, and urges her to make peace with Sara before anything else. Feng arrives to kill Bagwell, but his prior dealings with Gretchen lead to a new deal to buy Scylla from Gretchen for 125 million dollars. Bagwell’s cut will be 25 million, and she plans to double cross Michael. She also implies that Scylla is much more than anyone thinks it is. Bagwell and Trishanne get a fingerprint off of Gretchen as an insurance policy. Bagwell tells her that the payday is one million dollars.

General Krantz gathers his troops to discuss Scylla, calling Laos a drill. It looks like their next step will be flooding the American market with counterfeit money. After the crash plan fails, the General has an angry discussion with Wyatt, during which Wyatt shows some respect for Scofield’s planning. He points out to the General that he would have a better plan if he wanted him dead. The General realizes it was an attempt on the card, and orders Scylla moved. He is advised that it will take a few days, but the order stands.

Sara meets Gretchen in a motel room. As a way of making piece, she hands a whip to Sara, telling her to put on as many scars as she can in five minutes. After seeing the scars that are already there, Sara refuses, but pulls a shiv and holds it to Gretchen’s throat, asking about the guard she killed. As she leaves the room, she vows vengeance when the Scylla project is done.

After losing the device, Roland is put on early retirement by Michael, who does refuse to send him back to prison. Roland sends a text to Wyatt to offer up the brothers, which leads to the tip-off at the crash site. After the plan goes south, Roland bolts and sends another text to Wyatt. Arriving at his location, Wyatt shoots Roland in the knee, demanding the brothers’ location. Roland tells him, and just after shooting a fatal shot, Mahone jumps Wyatt and has to be pulled off of him as the brothers take him back to their headquarters. Michael stays behind with Roland until he expires, seemingly contemplating his own mortality.
