4:42 PM, on a Tuesday, and Dennis is installing a new flat-screen TV and a Blu-ray DVD player. Mac finds a review in the paper of Paddie’s, and the gang is shocked by how bad the review is. Mac thinks they should have compared his bouncer skills to Patrick Swayze in Road House, Dee can’t understand why the reviewer is upset that she called him a fag when he ordered a Chardonnay, and Charlie thinks they should have got better marks because, :stabbings are down, man!” Outraged, Dee, Dennis and Charlie storm the office of the paper to demand a new review. Charlie brings a hammer along to be more persuasive.

When the reviewer, Mr. Korman (Fisher Stevens) tells them a libel suit would not fly, they leave the office, only to find out later that Charlie has kidnapped him and brought him to the bar. Once there, Korman is approached by each member of the staff, looking for space in the new, more positive review. Mac and Charlie argue about how to let Korman use the men’s room, then feel ashamed of physically helping him.

Dennis and Dee go back to cover Charlie’s tracks and make it look like Korman ran off. When they realize they are in the wrong apartment, they kidnap Korman’s neighbor Mehar. As Charlie looks in, he drops the keys in the trunk as it is closed. After Mac fails in his attempt to break the window with a roundhouse kick, they manage to free Mehar. He asks them to return to his apartment for his diabetic cat. They grab the cat and return, only to have him point out that they grabbed Korman’s cat.

Charlie comes up with a new plan: Drug Mehar and Korman, return them to their apartments, and set everything up so they’ll have amnesia and think it’s the previous day. They gang finally decides to buy Mehar’s silence with the new TV and DVD player. Korman is released after he promises not to press charges.

When Korman’s new review hits, it’s worse than the first one. He concludes the article by saying that living in that hell hole is worse than any charges that could be pressed. The gang is relieved by his agreement, but the more they read the article, the more slighted they feel that their names were not mentioned, so as the episode ends, they head off to the paper for another chat. Charlie doubles back for the hammer.

There’s my two cents, laundered and sterilized as clean as I can get them. What do you think? Drop them in the comments or drop me a line at: tom@thetwocents.com .
