Is there a place you hate? I have an entire town that I hate (it’s a place where dreams go to die). But my hatred for that city-that-must-not-be-named cannot compare to the ill will that Ted wishes upon the state of New Jersey. I mean, he has made t-shirts about it, uses it as a euphemism for poo, and even… well, why don’t you just

  1. Ted talks the gang into hanging at Stella’s house for the evening. The problem? Her house is located in New Jersey, the top most hated place by New Yorkers. The even bigger problem? Stella thinks Ted is going to move in with her after the wedding. Folks, this could be a deal-breaker. How can Ted live in a place that he hates so deeply?

On the other hand, how can Stella uproot her daughter and move to the city? Her house is in New Jersey, her family is in New Jersey, and, by the way, she is Deputy Mayor of her town. Who knew? After much bashing of both New Jersey and New York (Marshall, surprisingly, come out on the side of New Jersey… he’s too big for New York.), and a pro-and con list a mile long, Stella storms out.

Meanwhile, Robin has quit her job at the “We are a total joke” News Channel to go to the big time: an extremely more prestigious (and professional) station. Yet much to her chagrin, she doesn’t have the dream job yet, just an audition. Convinced that she made the wrong choice to quit her job prematurely, she steals Lucy’s pink bike and tries to make it back to Manhattan to read the 11:00 news. And, according to her, the journey culminated in a complete Evil Knievel-like flip over a traffic jam. Her words. She makes it to the station, starts the 11:00 o’clock news, and remembers why she quit to begin with: the place is downright cheesy. She quits again.

Ted looks for Stella to talk about their fight and runs into Lucy. She asks him to read her a bedtime story and in the time it takes him to read her a story and tuck her in, he realizes what he had to do. He finds Stella and tells her that New Jersey wins. He’ll move in with her and Lucy.

Oh yeah, Robin got a job as a foreign correspondent for the fancy station… in Japan.

What do YOU think? Will Robin move? Will Ted move? Will Marshall develop a secret habit of traveling to New Jersey to visit the big box stores? Give us your Two Cents… We’ll use it to buy one of those dog t-shirts.

    Next Week: "Stella!"
