Final episode of the season and we left off with Jane in labor in the kitchen. Josh and Lily married and struggling. Brooke and Sam both liking Harrison.

The show opens where it left of previously.... Jane is in labor and Brooke and Sam help her deliver the baby. It's a girl!!

Jr. Prom is coming. Josh and Lily are not going to save money. George is going stag. Harrison has no date...as a matter of fact it looks like nobody is going so far.

Josh and Lily decide to rent a room at Ms. Glass house. Josh is frustrated he hasn't had sex with Lily and wants to get on with their lives.

Brooke and Sam both want to go to prom with Harrison and agree to both ask him to go. When they approach him, he wants nothing to do with them. Then when they tell him they want to go as a three-some, well lets just say..... how can he refuse that! (big smile on his face)

Mary Cherry meets Baby Honey Child, aka: B-Ho, her long lost twin raised in the Bronx! Now let me just say, Leslie Grossman does a wonderful impression of B-Ho as a New Yorker.(she is playing a duel role) My gosh! she sounds so different from Mary Cherry(MC).

Josh and Lily move into Ms. Glass basement. They sign a lease and find out they have to do 10 hrs of housework a week. They find out this is not easy, they are tired, hungry, have no money and need to study for exams and need a job.

Nicole talks to George about getting back at Sam. So they decide to go to prom together, as friends. Nicole tells Sam, just to get her mad.

B-Ho tells MC that she talked to Cherry Cherry and that Cherry said she picked the wrong baby. So CC adopts B-Ho and MC is out. Everything belongs to B-Ho now. M C is at the orphanage and gets a visit from a transvestite who says he is her father....his name....Sweet Honey Child!!

Sam tells Brooke what Nicole said about Brooke trying to get Harrison all to herself. Brooke is furious over Nicole's lies and confronts her. They argue and Nicole says she won't follow orders from Brooke anymore. Brooke says she will never speak to her again and she will make sure George doesn't go to prom with her.

Josh tries to sell windows but can't do it. When he comes home exhausted, he and Lily realize this might not work.

Prom night: Nicole gets a call from George saying he doesn't feel well and can not go. Nic is furious.
Sam & Brooke name their sister McKenzie after the "Mc" in both their names. They decide they need to grow up and are going to have Harrison decide between the two of them.
Nicole shows up at the McQueen house drunk. She is very angry and is going to leave, but the father takes her keys and sets them on the table and goes to call her mom. When he returns , Nic is gone and the keys too.
Brooke and Sam ask Harrison to choose. He knew this was going to happen and he is prepared. He doesn't want to hurt anyone but he chooses. Both girls are running out of the cafe and just as Brooke is crossing the street, Nicole comes at her with the car... on purpose!
Screen goes black and sirens are heard.

    Who did Harrison pick?
    Did Nicole kill Brooke?
Will Josh and Lily be ok?
Will Mary Cherry always be an orphan?

Well according to Ryan Murphy(on the bonus features on DVD) and Wikipedia here is what was planned for the next season(that never happened):
    Harrison picked Brooke.
    Sam realizes she is gay.
An old-folks home buys the school, and everyone gets their GED.
The show would then fast forward 5 years and show everyone is living in Melrose Place ... which Mary Cherry purchased.

I love this show, how about you? I wish they would do a reunion, I would love to see it.

    Thanks for listening this summer

  2. WHAT SAM IS GAY!!!, and if Harrison picked Brooke why did she run out. and if anyone is gay its Lily, and of course Brooke is not dead if the show was picked up again, she is one of the main characters. yes this was a good show and a good summer thing to do' an old show and review it. Kudos to Karen, it would be nice to have a one time 2 hour wrap up of the whole show, but not going to happen. especially when the actors have moved on and would probably either can't come back because of scheduling or don't want to come back.. Excellent

  3. Great review! I must say though, the plans Murphy had sounds horrid! I'm glad now that they didn't pick up on the third season or it would've forever ruin Popular for me. I <3 this show! How the plot sounds, it seems as though season 3 would've been the last season since everyone is grown up and out of high school and college.

I can't believe Harrison picked Brooke. I wanted him and Sam together, lol.

  4. I know...I don't know if I would have liked them all living at the same complex, I mean c'mon they were a bunch of rivals! But, I too, wanted Harrison to pick Brooke, but she did diss him pretty good there when seeing George. And Harrison always did like Brooke (even from childhood)
I say: BRING ON THE REUNION!
