I forgot to tell in my last review what I was going to watch this time, sorry about that. I choose episode 3x22 Nemesis, the first part of the season three finale. Since this is the first part of the two hour episode, my next review will be of the season opener for season four ‘Small victories’.

Daniel Jackson is in the infirmary after and emergency appendectomy and since he will be out of the running for a week to recover. The remaining team members are sent on vacation. Teal’c is visiting family, his wife and son off world, while Sam chooses to do some research on the decay rate of naquadah within the SGC's naquadah reactor. Jack wants to go to Minnesota to finally have that fishing trip that he wanted to go on for a while. He offers to take Sam with him, who declines him, right before Jack is transported to Thor’s ship, the Beliskner.

He finds Thor alone on his ship in bad shape, near death. His Asgard ship has been attacked by ‘replicators’, small technological insects that self-replicate and infest ships, planets, even entire systems, who are literally eating through the ship making sure that everything in their path is destroyed. Because of this Thor can’t use the medical facilities on the ship. The Asgard are in a war with the replicators, and Thor’s mothership was called in to fight the replicators off when his ship became infested with them. He left his crew behind and tried to stop the ship before the infested vessel hits Earth. As a last resort he transported Jack to the ship because he will know what has to happen and will most likely be able to do something.

Jack soon realizes that the only way to stop the replicators is to blow up the ship, destroying it completely along with all the replicators. He is able to send a message to SGC, he requests Hammond and his team to send him explosives to blow up the vessel, knowing that he won’t be able to return to earth and he will die with the ship. He tells his team to stay where they are, an order that they won’t follow. Major Carter and Teal’c arrive on the ship together with the supplies. And an idea to leave the ship before it blows up.

Teal’c and Jack try to regain control of the bridge, but the replicators prevent them from doing so. Teal’c ventures outside of the ship into space in an space suit. As he pits it ‘a great step for Jaffa’. But when he wants to return to the ship the replicators disabled the door. And while Sam is trying to teleport Teal’c back inside his air tank blows up. The only way to get Teal’c back inside is if he lets go of the ship and pushes off, a very risky request. Sam hopes that she will be able to catch him and transport him back inside.

The team puts the dying Thor in stasis, while they search for a new way to leave the ship. They know they can’t get off the Asgard Mothership with the transporter back to Earth due to the replicators, but since they are able to teleport objects into the Beliskner with the inbound-transporter they ‘borrow’ the Stargate of SGC. Hammond and Daniel see the stargate disappear in front of their eyes. Realizing what SG1 is trying to do Hammond immediately orders to unpack the second Stargate and make sure that it is operational so that the SG1 team will be able to get back home. By doing so they put themselves at risk since this gate doesn’t have the protective iris, which the original gate has. Which means that anyone who dials the ‘Earth gate can get

Jack, Sam and Teal’c fight off the replicators, the replicators attack them in massive numbers. Teal’c dials the gate address to P3X-234 and they retreat with Thor through the gate right before the mothership burns up and explodes in the Earth atmosphere. The debris falls into the Pacific Ocean about 400 miles from California. A Navy ship is send out to pick up the debris.

The episode ends with one replicator crawling from the sea on top of the debris of Thor´s mothership Beliskner after it exploded when it entered the earth atmosphere. At that point no one on earth knows what happened to SG1, if they made it safely to P3X-234

My next episode review will be off ‘4x01 Small victories’. The second part of this two hour season finale/season premiere. If you would like me to do a review of a certain episode, let me know which one. And I will give you my views on it. I am choosing episodes which I enjoyed watching, the reason for liking them can be anything. Wether it is because of the character development or the storyline. I am reviewing episodes in the order in which they where shown on television.
