If you are squeamish, this was not the episode for you. We got to see incisions, organs, a melon baler. It was not pretty. I guess that is why it is on at 8:00 huh? But needless to say, this is why I watch Supernatural, they have some awesome storylines and an episode never goes by where I don’t cringe and think, “I can’t believe they went there”. Tonight was no different.

We didn’t even make it into the show’s opening and we already got a taste of the gore to come. A man comes out of the gym and as he puts his bag into the trunk, he gets shoved in. We then see him entering a hospital holding his stomach. AS the nurse tries to help him, she freaks out to find out his organs are gone. Wow, where you grossed out? Yep, I was.

We go to Sam and Dean interrogating a demon to try to find out who owns Dean’s contract. When they realize they are getting nothing out of him, they exorcise the demon and get rid of the guy who was possessed. Bobby calls about a dead guy at a hospital In Eerie, Pennsylvania. Wow, a dead guys at the hospital, shocking right? Well it is when the guy has fingerprints on him from a guy who died 27 years ago. Zombie? That is what they think until they inspect the body to find his organ where surgically removed. This is not the first time this has happened in the area. A man talks to Sam and Dean and tells them that he was jumped and woke up in a bathtub of ice. Isn’t that an urban legend? I started to wonder if that is where the episode was going, but it was much worse.

Sam discovers that the stitches were done with silk and remembers when his dad told him about Doc Benton, a man who discovers eternal life. He would kill people and take their organs to stay alive. John said he killed him, but this sounds too much like Doc.

His next victim is a jogger. He is making sure to go after the healthy ones. He wakes up strapped to a table with a jar of maggots next to him. Again, eeewwww. And we get to see Doc remove his heart. Here I go, I can’t believe they went there! While searching cabins, Sam finds the jogger. He also finds a woman alive with maggots on her wounds. Doc is back and Sam gets out as he discovers that he took his latest organ fix. Doc tries to stop Sam, but Sam manages to run him over. AS Doc stands up, he puts his head back into place.

Dean is on the hunt for Bela. I can honestly say that my favorite part was Bela getting what she has coming to her. We find out that Bela was molested by her father as a child and her parent dies in a car accident 10 years ago. Come to find out Bela had them killed. AS Dean goes to kill Bela, he notices something about the door and simply leaves, saying she is not worth it. With as much hatred as he has you her, you knew something was up when he just left. Dean calls Sam and is upset that he didn’t get Bela. Sam tells Dean that Doc isn’t doing anything mystical, just scientific to stay alive. AS this happens, Doc chloroforms Sam. He wakes up with his eyes taped open and this is where the melon baler comes in…. Doc plans to use Sam’s eyes. Doc read John’s journal, so he knows who Sam is. Just as Doc prepares to use the melon baler on Sam’s eye, Dean busts in and shoots Doc. The bullets do nothing as Dean stabs with a knife. The knife had chloroform on it, and Doc collapses. They strap him down and as they chloroform him, Doc says he can help Dean. Dean refuses and they lock him in a refrigerator and bury him.

Now, my favorite part. Bela goes into a hotel room and shoots the beds. She thinks it is Sam and Dean, but it was a set up. Dean calls and tells her he figured out that she made a deal with a demon and it is payday. Bela said it is Lilith who holds all the contracts and she hopes that Sam and Dean can kill her. As the clock changes to midnight, you hear the hellhounds coming. Can you say justice? I give it an A++++++ just for the simple fact that Bela finally got what she had coming to her!

We prepare for the Season Finale next week, as we will find out whether or not anyone can save Dean.

  2. This was a good episode. Just inda sad we didn't see Bela obliterated. I have a sneaking suspension she's not gone for good.

And I hope Ruby is in the season finale. I like her and want to see her character develope more.

I hope Dean lives, but they don't make it too lame.
