Love is in the air in Springfield. Everyone is under Cupid’s spell, including Homer and the family, who attend a carnival to celebrate the romantic holiday. Homer and Marge are looking forward to some kid-free time and they decide to ride the tunnel of love. Homer knows that nothing will get a woman into his arms faster than scary robots and simulated-privacy.

The ride breaks down (thanks to Bart and a barrel of Jello) and Homer decides to pass the time by telling the most romantic stories of all time.

First off, Homer takes on the role of Clyde in the Bonnie and Clyde story. Clyde sweeps Bonnie off her feet by robbing the local feed store. Grandpa yells that he could have had anything he wanted in the store for free since he was a co-owner of Barrow and Sons Feed Store, but Homer/Clyde just shoots at him and yells that he’ll see him for Thanksgiving. The couple go on a crime spree and eventually get gunned down by Chief Wiggum who pumps the couple full of lead.

In the second story it’s a Lady and the Tramp parody called Shady and the Vamp. Homer/Shady leaves Marge/Vamp with a few puppies but eventually shows up to reunite the family after avoiding Willie the dog catcher. Patty and Selma make a funny cameo as the Siamese cats and the spaghetti scene in the alley ends when Luigi is busted for serving about 10 tables of animals food out in the alley behind his restaurant.

In the third (and weirdest) story. Lisa plays Nancy to Nelson’s Sid in a Sid and Nancy parody where chocolate serves as heroin. Bart is Johnny Rotton. The funniest bit is when the Sex Pistols are playing the San Antonio Arena. Outside the sign reads “Tonight: The Sex Pistols. Tomorrow: The Rev. Billy Graham. Friday: The Sex Grahams Featuring Billy Pistol.” Instead of dying in a chocolate induced murder suicide Nancy ends up turning Sid into a folk singer and getting them both kicked out of GBGB’s (Comic Book Guy’s Bar.)
