In conjunction with the Tuesday, Jan. 15 return of TBS’s popular late-night comedy series 10 ITEMS OR LESS, the network’s broadband destination, tbs.com, is giving fans a cart full of digital tie-ins. Headlining the offerings is a special webcast featuring the entire cast and director Nancy Hower, set to take place immediately after the 11 p.m. (ET/PT) season premiere. 10 ITEMS OR LESS, co-created by acclaimed comedy improv actor John Lehr (Memron), is TBS’s loosely scripted look at life at Greens & Grains, a family-owned grocery store run by a less-than-skilled manager.

During the tbs.com webcast, the 10 ITEMS OR LESS cast will answer questions about what it’s like working on such a unique series, what it takes to be an improvisational actor and what fans can expect during the series’ second season. In addition, director Hower and co-creator/star Lehr will talk about how they come up with ideas for the show and what kinds of challenges they face shooting the series in a working grocery store in suburban Los Angeles.

TBS’s Web site also include a variety of specially produced video pieces, including performance reviews between manager Leslie and his employees; character interviews; Greens & Grains commercials; behind-the-scenes clips; and deleted scenes. In addition, tbs.com is offering a beautifully photographed, downloadable calendar featuring the Greens & Grains employees dressed as famous figures in American history (based on the plot of an upcoming episode), a grocery store career-placement questionnaire, episode synopses, character descriptions and a fan forum.
This season, TBS’s 10 ITEMS OR LESS will delve deeply into the offbeat lives of Greens & Grains employees, from a manager looking for an heir to a store promotion with silver dollars that goes horribly awry. In addition to Lehr, the series stars Jennifer Elise Cox, Kirsten Gronfield, Chris Payne Gilbert, Greg Davis Jr., Christopher Liam Moore, Roberta Valderrama and Robert Clendenin.
