We open the show by getting a look at Samantha’s poor housekeeping abilities. She’s still living with her parents so her bedroom and bathroom are a mess. Sam’s dressed in a very low, revealing halter dress that indicates she’s going out. As she comes downstairs, Regina questions Sam about who she’s with and where she’s going, as if Sam were sixteen all over again. Sam promises to be back soon and also to kill herself if she has any fun.

Andrea and Sam are out for drinks (Sam’s pounding back the Shirley Temples because they’re so sweet and pretty) when some random guy starts hitting on Samantha. She has no idea whether or not she knows him so when he suggests that they go back to his place, Sam is willing. Andrea shoos the guy and tells Sam that they didn’t know each other, it was just a pick up line. Sam realizes that she doesn’t remember what it’s like to be picked up and she doesn’t remember sex, essentially making her a virgin all over again.

Sam attempts to talk to her parents about sex, but to no avail. I mean, what can you expect from someone who wants to call sex “the happy touch”? Ooky. Regina and Howard argue about whether Howard was Regina’s “first”. Sam, Dena, and Andrea are sitting in a coffee shop talking about how weird it is that Sam can’t remember what sex is all about. Sam thinks she should take it slow and not rush to have sex just so she can remember it. Dena agrees and says she should wait for the right man, projecting about a walk of shame and cotton candy stuck to her back. Andrea disagrees and thinks she should hop back on the horse, so to speak.

Back in Todd’s apartment (they aren’t dating, Sam is living with her parents, why hasn’t she moved her stuff out yet?) Sam asks Todd whether the sex they had when they were dating was good. He assures her it was very good.

Sam and Andrea talk on the phone at 4 am. Sam can’t stop thinking about sex, not even when Regina invades her bed because she can’t sleep with Howard needling her. Regina cops to reading Sam’s diary about Sam’s first time having sex. Andrea suggests that Sam go out with her the next night to get a hookup. Andrea tries to calm Sam’s fears by saying that’s just like riding a bike. Sam sneaks out to the garage in the middle of the night to see if she even remembers how to ride a bike, literally. She doesn’t.

Sam and Andrea are at the bar and Andrea attempts to school Sam on how to pick up a man. Dena shows up, Regina shows up, and they all fight over who knows Sam well enough to choose her booty call. Sam finally tells them all to can it and finds a kid named Jason who’s celebrating his 21st birthday. She kisses him and they end up back at Jason’s place. There’s some awkwardness up until Jason lets it slip that he’s a virgin and Sam has a moment of clarity. Flashback time!

Todd and Sam are making out in the hallway of Sam’s apartment building. Sam suggests they just go ahead and do it in the hall. Todd says no way is he doing this unless they’re a couple. Sam goes along with it.

Snap back to now…Sam realizes she wants to get back together with Todd. She races over to his place but he’s got another girl there. Awk-ward. Todd wants to know why Sam is there, she’s stumbling because obviously she came over to confess that she wanted to get back together and he for real isn’t making this easy on her. Sam goes home to find her mother in her bed. Gah, I hate it when that happens.

Regina apologizes to Sam for encroaching on her territory earlier that evening, but says that she just wants them to have a better relationship this time around. Regina and Howard make up and the noise of their canoodling keeps Sam awake. We end the show with Sam out in the middle of the night cutting doughnuts on her bike in the driveway.
