Dueling Marilyn Monroe impersonators parallel Sean and Christian’s partnership, as Christian’s new role as second banana gets frustrating. After planting the story about Carly Summers’ plastic surgery, Christian is one-upped by Fiona, who releases her own story without his name. When she almost drops him as a client, he agrees to pose nude for a magazine, leading to a new crop of clients. Gay clients.

Sean begins dating Hearts “n” Scalpels actress Kate Tinsley (Paula Marshall, Cupid), who pulls away due to a physical imperfection: Radical weight loss from gastric bypass surgery has left her with a massive amount of extra skin, and has not erased the self-image of a rejected overweight woman. Sean performs the surgery, but when Fiona arranges a People magazine shoot, Christian performs the follow-up and once again moves in on Sean’s territory.

Julia phones from New York, announcing that she is about to move in with someone and wants the blessing of Sean and Christian. When she arrives, it’s on the arm of Portia deRossi (Arrested Development, Ally McBeal). Although the new lesbian affair is a shock, it does free Sean, who sees it as the final closure on the relationship.

One of the Marilyn imitators tries to pull the ultimate imitation by swallowing pills, and after the recovery, they decide to work as partners. Of course, this includes working on Christian as the episode ends.

    Quotable:
“It’s your job to be a man-tard. I am a classicaly trained actress.”
Kate Tinsley, after star Aiden tries to get her to go topless

    “So where is Daddy now?”
“Where do you think? After conception, I bit off his head.”
Christian and Olivia trading barbs after he jumps to conclusions about lesbian motherhood.

“This town is full of assholes. What makes you special?”
Fiona, to a seemingly apologetic Christian
