This week’s episode of Supernatural gave us a look at our other new female lead character, Bela. I think that she is a good match for Dean if you ask me.
Gordon is back and on a mission to kill Sam. He is convinced that he is evil and he needs to be the one to take care of him, even though he is in jail. He recruits a man to do his dirty work on the outside. He is not convinced that Sam is evil until “God leads him to Sam”.

We are dealing with luck, both bad and good with this episode. Someone has broken into Dean and Sam’s storage room and they get a call. This is something they new nothing about so they go and find what their dad has been hiding. It is mostly weapons and information. Nothing seems to be missing until they find some locked boxes with symbols on them. One is missing. They call Bobby to find out if he knows what they are and what is in them. They find out that the boxes are filled with cursed items. The one that is missing is a rabbit’s foot.

The guys who stole it decide to find out the contents. They were hired by Bela to steal it, but they want to know what is so valuable in the box. They open it to find a rabbits foot. One of the thieves got shot and after he holds it, the landlord comes in and tells him he will fix the wound, it is his lucky day. After that, the luck continues as he wins every card game they play.

Sam and Dean bust in to reclaim the box. But it is too late. They go after the men and get their butt’s kicked. Strange? Yes, but it is the rabbit’s foot. Sam is finally able to reach it and their luck changes. They take care of the guys and leave with the rabbit’s foot. When the guys wake up, the one with all the luck loses it as he slips on a beer bottle and skewers his head with a grill fork in the sink. EEEWWW. Wow, they are really poring on the gore this season!

Dean decides to test his luck with the rabbit’s foot with some lottery tickets. Sure enough, they are all winners. They let Bobby know that they got it back, but Bobby is not too happy to find out that Sam touched it. As soon as he loses the rabbits foot, he will get nothing but bad luck until he dies. Sam assures Bobby he won’t lose it.

Sam and Dean go to a restaurant to eat and they are the one millionth customer. There picture was on the internet, which leads Gordon’s guys right to them. AS they finish eating, their “waitress” comes to fill up their coffee. As they stare and drool, she steals the rabbit’s foot. Sam gets up and trips and they realize what has happened.

The call Bobby and he figures out it was Bela. She is a thief selling mystical merchandise to the highest bidder. Dean finds her and after an interesting play of words that shows the chemistry of the characters, Dean manages to get the rabbit’s foot back, temporarily.

While Dean was away, Sam waiting in the hotel room when a fire breaks out. When he tries to put it out with the curtains, Gordon’s guys find him. They tie him up and try to get information out of him when Dean arrives to save Sam. He hits the guy with a remote and says “I’m Batman”. I laughed so hard at this point. Wow.
They head to the cemetery to take care of the rabbit’s foot when Bela shows up again. She wants the rabbit’s foot back. Luckily they tricked her into touching it, forcing her to allow them to destroy it. But that isn’t the last of her as she steals the car and their winning lottery tickets.

I have a hard time deciding if Dean’s “I’m Batman” or “Girl don’t go away angry, girl just go away” (Not an exact quote from the song, but that may have been a copyright issue.)

I loved this episode. I love the new character of Bela. I like her a lot more than Ruby. She is a great yin to Dean’s yang and I can’t wait to see the sparks fly. I give it an A! See you next week.
