"Bionic Woman" Recap & Review - "Sisterhood"

Bionic Woman
"Sisterhood"

Original Air Date: October 10, 2007

If you, like me, forgot about how bad ass the rouge bionic woman Sarah Corvus was in the first episode, you’re in luck. Last episode just had her rolling around in the sack with Jae, who as you may recall, shot her in the opening of the pilot. We get a glimpse at the down side of being a bad ass rogue bionic woman, which has Sarah Corvus with a bad case of the jitters. She tells Mr. Andros that the machine in her has in large part taken over, making her a killing machine without a conscience. Is this what Jamie has to look forward to?

If you, like me, forgot about how bad ass the rouge bionic woman Sarah Corvus was in the first episode, you’re in luck. Last episode just had her rolling around in the sack with Jae, who as you may recall, shot her in the opening of the pilot. We get a glimpse at the down side of being a bad ass rogue bionic woman, which has Sarah Corvus with a bad case of the jitters. She tells Mr. Andros that the machine in her has in large part taken over, making her a killing machine without a conscience. Is this what Jamie has to look forward to?

Speaking of Jamie, she’s enjoying lunch with her bratty sister who hasn’t shut up about wanting a pair of $175 pair of jeans when Jonas calls, interrupting. He informs Jamie that she has a camera in her eye that sends 24 live feed to the HQ, as well as being equipped with a GPS tracking system. Jamie freaks over the invasion of privacy, and Jonas brushes it off and tells her about her mission. To stop a man in her vicinity from leaving, if he does there will be mass casualties. Jamie knocks the man out, and we never find out what he was planning on doing or why they had her stop him.

A rather sickly looking Sarah Corvus spies on Jamie and her sister while they dance around the apartment. This gives Sarah flashbacks of better times with her own sister, which largely involve, speeding and an empty bottle of whiskey. The laughter is cut short when a tractor trailer smashes into the car killing Sarah’s sister (Sound familiar?). Later while Jamie sleeps she has dreams of Sarah and wakes up to find her standing over her. Sarah tells Jamie she knows her better then she knows herself, and tells her she needs her to go with her. Jamie reminds her that she killed the only man she ever loved (which comes as a surprise as Jamie seems rather well adjusted for seeing her baby daddy killed) but that Sarah’s also responsible for the death of her unborn baby. We see that Sarah’s more human then she thinks as she actually seems to show remorse over it. Sarah asks how well Jamie really knew Will, and tells her to meet her the next day in a place where she can easily escape if she needs to.

Jonas gives her a new assignment which is basically just to bodyguard some brat teenager that’s the daughter of an important man. Jamie obliges her glorified babysitting gig under Jonas’s order and then dumps her off on Ruthy.

Jamie meets up with Sarah Corvus and explains to her that she’s dying, something with her circuitry is wrong, and because Jamie has updated, more advanced technology in her, they (Mr. Andros) can fix Sarah. Jamie refuses and Sarah starts to tell the truth about Will when the swat team begins to run in before Jamie gives the say so.

Sarah escapes only to pop back up again in a salon where Jamie has taken the brat she’s babysitting to get a manicure. Sarah tries again to convince Jamie, but Jamie won’t budge. A bunch of thugs enter the salon to take the brat when Jamie and Sarah spring into action and beat the hell out of them. After, Sarah tries to play on Jamie’s natural desire to help people, but Jamie still refuses.

Jamie drops off the brat and says good-bye and they’ve seemed to have formed some kind of bond along the way. When Jamie returns to the apartment her sister introduces her to a new neighbor…Sarah Corvus. Jamie plays along until her sister passes out from whatever Sarah had put in her drink. Sarah threatens to kill the sister, convinced it would unite them. She then tells Jamie that everything she knew about Will was a lie, she was his guinea pig and everything about their relationship was planned, all Sarah did was speed up the process by killing him. Oh, and she’s apologizes for killing the unborn baby. Jamie (who by now has figured how to turn off her 24 video feed) gets a nose bleed signifying she’s turned on those intrusive cameras in her eye and Sarah bolts.

Something tells me we haven’t seen the last of her.
