A Soprano Goes to the Rock...

Golden Globe winner and three-time Emmy Award winner Edie Falco, ("The Sopranos) will guest star in three episodes of NBC's critically acclaimed comedy "30 Rock." This is in addition to the previously announced rare guest-starring appearance by Golden Globe winner Jerry Seinfeld. "30 Rock" marks Falco's first television appearance since the season finale of "The Sopranos." Returning favorites Rip Torn, Will Arnett and Sherri Shepherd will also reprise their guest roles for the second season, which premieres October 4th (Thursday, 8:30-9 p.m. ET).

"I have laughed out loud at this show, and I am thrilled for the opportunity to work with such great comic actors," said Falco. "I am very excited."

"We're thrilled to have such an amazing actress come join us," said Tina Fey, Creator/ Executive Producer/ Star, "30 Rock." "Also, a lot of guys on our crew want 'The Sopranos' ending explained to them."

"Obviously, it's a very exciting thing for all of us to have Edie come on the show. This is just another great example of how fun and how exciting the casting of our show has been," said Alec Baldwin.

In its freshman year, "30 Rock" boasted a long list of guest stars including Paul Reubens, Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg, John McEnroe, Maury Povich, Ghostface Killah, LL Cool J, Sean Hayes, Nathan Lane, Molly Shannon, Chris Parnell, Will Forte and Jason Sudeikis. The show also garnered an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for Elaine Stritch.
