And the 2007 Tony Award Goes To...

The shiny silver awards were presented last night and the show everyone is ashamed to say they love (due to very strong story lines, graphic sexual overtones, etc) couldn't stop winning!

The musical "Spring Awakening", brought to us by a team including Duncan Sheik (yes, THAT Duncan Sheik who is 'Barely Breathing'), won eight awards including Best Musical, Best Book and Best Original Score (yup, Duncan Sheik now has a Tony).

The performances were very cool last night and David Hyde Pierce (yes, Niles from Frasier) gave a very emotional and heartfelt acceptance speech after winning the Tony for Best Performance by a Leading Actors in a Musical. (view the transcript)
