Whose Idea is it Anyway?

When I was younger I loved watching the BBC version of Whose Line Is It Anyway? The Drew Carrey US version was good, but they didn't rotate the guests enough. Ryan Stiles doing the SAME thing every week got old. Well, network TV is trying it again with a new show called "Thank God You're Here" which is being described as Whose Line meets Let's Make a Deal. It's based on an Austrailian TV Show of the same name.

Celebrity guests will choose one of several doors to open. Behind each door, a comedy sketch they know nothing about is being performed. Whether they stumble into an operating room, a motorcycle race or an undersea adventure, they'll be greeted by the line, "Thank God you're here!" From that point, the celeb is on his or her own. Their performances will be judged by Kids in the Hall alum Dave Foley and host David Alan Grier. The show will air while Heroes is gone during the same time slot.

The fun part for me is the rotating celebrities that will be a part of it. The premiere has: Bryan Cranston (Dad on Malcolm in the Middle), Jennifer Coolidge ("Stiffler's Mom"), Wayne Knight ("Newman" Seinfeld) and Joel McHale (The Soup).

Other Celebrities include: my friend Angela Kinsey ("Angela" on The Office), Jason Alexander ("George Costanza"), George Takei ("Mr. Sulu", "Hiro's Dad"), Mo'Nique, Shannon Elizabeth, Eddie Kaye Thomas (American Pie), Fred Willard, and Alanis Morrisette.

So, does this sound interesting to you? Do you think you'll watch? Do you like improv comedy?
