Not only are jobs at stake, there’s also a pornographic image of David floating around the company email. David puts Gareth in charge of finding out who created the image.

Welcome to Wernham Hogg Paper Company. It’s a lot like Dunder Mifflin, just a different accent.

A documentary crew is filming the daily operations of the paper company’s office setting, starting with manager David Brent (Ricky Gervais) and the news that there will be downsizing within the company.

This episode is pretty much the setup for the entire series. Meet the crew:

Watch Tim (Martin Freeman) and Dawn (Lucy Davis) flirt around each other, Gareth (Mackenzie Crook) do something completely idiotic, and David Brent (Ricky Gervais) mismanage and insult and entire room of people. Catch the British slang and dry humor that makes the show such a joy to watch. You’ll fall out of your chair laughing and as Finchy would say, “While you’re down there, love…”
