ReplyDeleteDanny wins and gets to fly in an open cabin by-plane. I’m glad he enjoyed it because that would have been an absolute nightmare for me! Back at Hell’s Kitchen, the rest of the chefs have to hand polish all of the cutlery and plates with J.P. and prep for service. Andrea complains non-stop. Just go home then!
Gordon announces the night is clean slate night, meaning he’s not judging them on all the times they’ve screwed up before then. That’s a huge gift for Andrea and Ben but not for Paula and Danny who have been solid this whole time.
Standouts on the Side of Good:
Andrea – She cooks Wellington perfectly and excels on meat for most of the night.
Paula – When Andrea miscounts the Wellingtons, Paula grabs them and makes them herself, saving time.
Standouts on the Side of Bad:
Ben – He messes up a plain salad, putting tuna on a vegetarian salad. Also, he holds up everyone by not boiling the water before putting in the pasta.
Danny – He’s always great but this week, he really lags on garnish.
Who is Nominated and Who Goes Home:
Gordon tells the chefs to go back to the dorms and all agree on who should be leaving. They sit around and discuss it for a bit, smoking. Why do all chefs seem to smoke? There seem to be so many smokers on Hell’s Kitchen and Top Chef. I’m no expert but I’d think that would really mess up your palate.
Ben claims he better than Paula and Gordon seems surprised that they couldn’t come up with a unanimous nominee. Who would nominate themselves at this point in the game? Gordon finally, finally sends Ben home. The bad news? We’re still stuck with Andrea. Ugh.
So, what did you think? Did Ben deserve to go home before Andrea? Who do you think will win? Tell me your TwoCents in the comments!
